Cassidy's Transfer & Storage Ltd. was established in 1908 in the town of Pembroke, Ontario as a drayage company transporting baggage from the train station to homes and businesses in the area. Being near a military base in Petawawa,

Ontario allowed Cassidy's to expand its services into moving household furniture outside of the local area. In 1969, Cassidy's Transfer & Storage was purchased by Gordon Robinson and has been operated by him and the Robinson family ever since. Under Gordon Robinson, Cassidy's has enjoyed steady growth and is now one of the largest transportation companies in the Ottawa Valley with offices in Pembroke and Ottawa. In addition to local and long distance household moving, Cassidy’s operated a substantial freight fleet and is a recognized leader in specialized transportation that includes high value, high security and time sensitive shipping.
