In Canada, the clean aircraft concept is a set of regulations that require aircraft to be free of ice, snow, and frost before takeoff.

In the past few weeks, we attended meetings held by the Transport Canada's Standing Committee on Operations Under Icing Conditions (SCOUIC) in Ottawa and the SAE G-12 Aircraft Ground Deicing Committee in Montreal.

The aircraft deicing season has begun at YPQ!

SNWBD1 had a bird strike during takeoff at YPQ... Aborted takeoff...One engine blade was found damaged. James Mewett at Airtech Canada and Stewart Aviation jumped into action by providing Airtech hangar space and Stewart Aviation ground support for an overnight engine replacement. The Snowbird mechanical/technical team spent over 14 hours ensuring the CT-114 Tutor was ready for the London Airshow on the next day!
