Greeted by the resident Dawson’s Landing pups 🐕!

Moved a crew of tree planters for Rainforest from Security Bay in Smith Inlet to Oweekeno Village at the head of Rivers Inlet.

In the video we are coming into Dawsons Landing in Rivers Inlet for a short break on the way to Oweekeno.

The pictures at the end are inside are of the Dawson Landing General Store. They’ve almost everything you could need- groceries, adult pops, ice, hardware, fishing gear, washrooms, laundry…

Have you been to Dawson’s landing before? 🌊

Current Fire Status: Coast Fire Ban

To stay up to date with current BC Fire prohibition and status info - goto: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/safety/wildfire-status or download the BC Wildfire Service App on the App Store or Google Play Store.

Effective at 12 p.m. PDT on Thursday, May 7, Category 1, Category 2, and Category 3 open fires are prohibited across the Coastal Fire Centre. The exception is the Haida Gwaii Forest District, where Category 1 campfires are permitted.

These measures are being taken to reduce the risk of human-caused wildfires associated with open burning activities.

This prohibition will remain in place until October 31, 2026, or until it is rescinded.

Always check with your local government before burning, as they may have their own prohibitions in place.

For the full information bulletin, list of prohibited activities and detailed map, visit: https://blog.gov.bc.ca/bcwildfire/coastal-fire-centre-enacting-open-fire-prohibitions/
