📢 Community Notice: Canadian Red Cross Canvassers in Town

We’ve received a few inquiries at the office regarding representatives going door-to-door collecting donations for the Canadian Red Cross.

We have checked with the Indian Head RCMP, and they have confirmed that legitimate Canadian Red Cross canvassers are currently active in our area.

How to verify a canvasser at your door:
Official ID & Vests: Canvassers will wear branded Canadian Red Cross clothing/lanyards and carry official identification badges.

The Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory issued last week for residents on Walsh Street has been rescinded.

Water is back on to residents affected by the Walsh Street water break. A Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory is in effect. Notices are being delivered to affected homes.

Water Interruption Notice – Affecting:
Walsh Street from Empress Ave to 8th Ave. & 20 Empress Ave W.
Please be advised that water service to the above residences will be temporarily interrupted on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at approx. 2:00 PM for while crews repair a water main.
• Preparation: Please store sufficient drinking water, if possible, and avoid running taps or appliances during the outage.
• Post-Restoration: Run your cold water tap for 1–2 minutes if you experience temporary discoloration or sputtering air once service returns.
• Advisory: A Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory (PDWA) will be in effect after the repair; direct notices will be delivered to affected homes. Updates will also be posted to the Town website and official social media pages.

Water Interruption Notice – Affecting:
Qu'Appelle Street from Empress Ave to 6th Ave,
Eighth Ave from Qu'Appelle St to Walsh St,
Seventh Ave From Qu'Appelle St to Aspen St,
West side of Qu'Appelle St from 6th Ave to the North

Please be advised that water service to the above residences will be temporarily interrupted on Thursday, August 27, 2026, between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM for approximately 20 minutes while crews repair a valve on the water main.

• Preparation: Please store sufficient drinking water prior to 8:00 AM and avoid running taps or appliances during the outage.

• Post-Restoration: Run your cold water tap for 1–2 minutes if you experience temporary discoloration or sputtering air once service returns.

• Potential Advisory: Should repairs take longer than anticipated and require a Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory (PDWA), direct notices will be delivered to affected homes. Updates will also be posted to the Town website and official social media pages.

PDWA issued to residents on ONTARIO STREET between Empress Ave and 8th Ave, and EMPRESS AVE EAST between Caswell St and Prince Albert St. We have located a water break and crew is on site for repairs.
