The Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to be top of mind as each of us experience the influx of information and daily developments which cause questions and uncertainty. We are working to ensure the health and safety of our customers, our staff and our communities. I wanted to reach out personally to let you know what you can expect from us during this period of concern.
In recognition of the public health imperative facing us all, we will be doing our part to help slow down the spread of the disease. We continue to monitor the situation closely, follow the guidance of Health Canada, the Canadian and local government, to quickly adapt and take the appropriate precautions.
Education is key, and we are keeping our staff updated regarding COVID-19 including what actions to take to stay well and ensure the wellness of all staff, customers and those around them.
We will continue to keep you informed of any developments regarding coronavirus as it relates to our company. Flatlander Express Inc. will be operating as normal, we are monitoring Health Canada, the Canadian and local government officials. We may adjust our normal operating procedures to support social distancing guidelines; to include, if deemed appropriate, a “no signature required” option for both shippers and receivers with verbal instructions at the time of pick up or delivery. If requested to not sign, “COVID-19” will be marked on the waybill along with the last name of the person shipping or receiving the shipment. We are also supplying all of the drivers with gloves so that there is less contact.
