Stacking boxes in one spot may seem like the easiest way to unload your moving truck, but it means carrying everything across the house again when it's time to unpack. To save time and effort, place each box in its designated room as soon as it's unloaded.

Larger homes often have multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas, which can make it difficult for movers to know where everything belongs. To avoid confusion, tape a sign on each doorway so your movers know exactly where to place each item as they bring it inside.
