s largest port and has a diverse cargo base, handling over 28 million metric tonnes of cargo annually, including dry and liquid bulks, break bulk, containers, and cruise. We acknowledge that the lands and waters on which Port Saint John and its partners operate are situated the traditional and unceded territory of the Wolastoqey, the Mi'Kmaq, and Passamaquoddy Nations who signed Treaties of Peace and Friendship with the British crown in the 1700s. These treaties protect their rights to land and resources and are affirmed in Section 35 of the Canadian Constitution. At Port Saint John, our commitment to truth and reconciliation and the actions that will result from this are based on a foundational respect for First Nations culture and heritage and a desire to engage in meaningful relationships. ⚓️ Earlier this week, we welcomed Saint John Common Council and staff to Port Saint John to experience firsthand how our gateway connects New Brunswick businesses to global markets.

Following a port overview with CEO Craig Bell Estabrooks, Council members joined representatives from NB Southern Railway and J.D. Irving, Limited, for a rail tour and a behind-the-scenes look at the infrastructure and operations that keep goods moving efficiently through our region.

🌎 Together, our port, rail, and industry partners form an integrated trade corridor that supports jobs, drives economic growth, and strengthens supply chain resilience for New Brunswick and beyond.

⚓️ Plus tôt cette semaine, nous avons accueilli les membres et le personnel du conseil communal de Saint John à Port Saint John afin qu’ils puissent découvrir de près comment notre porte d’entrée commerciale relie les entreprises du Nouveau-Brunswick aux marchés mondiaux.
