Today, the future meets the present.
Adoschaouna unveils AURORA 510: a new vision for high-speed northern transportation
Adoschaouna is proud to present AURORA 510, a frictionless Maglev train project, fully 100% electric, designed to redefine mobility between Sept-Îles, Schefferville, and eventually Kuujjuaq.
Built on next-generation magnetic levitation technology, AURORA 510 will operate without direct contact with the track, virtually eliminating mechanical friction and enabling top speeds of up to 510 km/h. Designed to meet the realities of the North, the train will deliver speed, stability, and comfort, even in the most demanding weather conditions.
The service will make it possible to connect Sept-Îles to Schefferville in less than two hours, while maintaining several strategic stops along the corridor to serve camps, facilities, and logistical hubs along the route. This concept aims to transform northern transportation by offering a faster, more frequent, and more integrated mode of service.
Powered 100% by clean energy from the Menihek hydroelectric generating station, the project is part of an ambitious vision for sustainable, high-performance transportation adapted to the North. Through this approach, AURORA 510 positions itself as a corridor of the future, combining technological innovation with renewable energy.
In addition to providing high-speed passenger travel, the train has been envisioned as a mixed-use solution capable of carrying up to 200 passengers as well as 20 freight containers per trip. It will also feature service areas designed to meet the needs of workers, partners, and visitors across the territory.
Among the onboard amenities, AURORA 510 will offer private lounges, a quick-service dining car, remote work spaces, advanced connectivity services, and a modern, comfortable interior environment adapted to the realities of long northern corridors.
Designed as a transformative project for the future, AURORA 510 paves the way for a new generation of northern transportation, where speed, energy efficiency, and regional connectivity come together for the benefit of communities, businesses, and partners across the territory.
The North will wait no longer. The North is accelerating.
