🚛 Mill Bay ➡️ Skutz Falls | A Trip Down Memory Lane!

Some jobs are a little more special than others!

Three years ago, South Island Hauling delivered this trailer to our customer in Mill Bay. Fast-forward to today, and they've sold the trailer to a young fella who's ready to give it a new home!

And who did they call to handle the move? South Island Hauling once again! 💪

We returned to pick up the same trailer we delivered three years ago and transported it to its new home in Skutz Falls.

It's always a special feeling when customers remember us years later and trust us to handle another move.

A huge thank you to our returning customer for choosing us again, and congratulations to the new owner on his trailer! 🏕️

🚛🏠 Nanaimo ➡️ Goldstream Heights | Shed Relocation!

A returning customer whose park model and deck we previously transported called us about moving their shed from Nanaimo to Goldstream Heights.

With Unit 24 down for maintenance and Unit 11 not yet set up for gooseneck towing, we teamed up with B&H Hotshot to make it happen! 💪

Loading was a little trickier than expected when we discovered some of the wood beneath the shed was more rotten than it first appeared. We worked carefully to get it loaded and secured, then headed to the customer's property.

Once we arrived, unloading and positioning the shed in the yard went smoothly! ✅

A huge thank you to B&H Hotshot for helping us look after our customers. Great partnerships make all the difference!

🚛 Teamwork Makes the Dream Work! | Delivery for B&H Hotshot

Not every job starts with a call from a customer. Sometimes it's another transport company needing a hand!

We received a call from B&H Hotshot asking if we could cover a delivery for them, and we were happy to help! 💪

We headed over to their yard, hooked up to the enclosed trailer, and hit the road to get the customer's doors delivered.

Once we arrived, unloading took about an hour. With the delivery complete, we headed back to B&H Hotshot's yard to return the trailer.

A straightforward job and another successful delivery for Unit 11! ✅

A big thank you to B&H Hotshot for trusting South Island Hauling to get the job done. We always appreciate the opportunity to work alongside other local transport companies!

🚛🏡 Mill Bay ➡️ East Sooke | Tiny Home on the Move!

Another unique move completed by South Island Hauling!

This time, Unit 11 was tasked with transporting this beautiful tiny home from Mill Bay to East Sooke! 🏡

Not every day do we get to haul something quite like this! With its modern black exterior and wood accents, this tiny home definitely turned a few heads along the way.

We got everything hooked up, secured, and ready for the journey before heading out toward East Sooke.

Whether it's a tiny home, travel trailer, fifth wheel, or something a little out of the ordinary, we're always happy to help get it where it needs to go! 💪

🚛 Quadra Island ➡️ Crofton | Another Successful RV Move!

A quick little trip over to Quadra Island for another trailer relocation!

After arriving at pickup, we hooked up and completed our pre-trip inspection. During our checks, we noticed a few tires were low on air, so we made sure they were inflated to the proper PSI before hitting the road.

We also discovered the trailer's wiring wasn't working properly. No problem! We installed our auxiliary trailer light bar to make sure we had working lights for the journey. 💪

With everything secured, we headed back to the ferry terminal and made our way over to Campbell River.

After a quick fuel stop, it was time for the roughly three-hour drive south to Crofton!

The delivery couldn't have gone much smoother. The customer had a freshly prepared pad waiting for us, with plenty of room to get the trailer into position.

Another job completed! ✅

Qualicum ➡️ Kelowna 🚛

This one turned into a pretty eventful move!

We started with a 2:30 AM pickup in Qualicum, headed for the ferry terminal and caught the 9:00 AM sailing to the Mainland. Everything was going smoothly until about halfway up Highway 5 when one of the trailer tires decided it had other plans. 💥

Unfortunately, the spare tire wasn’t accessible, so we had to wait for Kal Tire’s mobile service truck to come out and get us back on the road.

A blown tire and roadside delay definitely weren’t part of the itinerary, but that wasn’t stopping the delivery. We got everything repaired, continued on to Kelowna and had the trailer safely delivered to the customer that same evening.

Another long day, another successful delivery, and most importantly, another happy customer! 💪

Well, it was finally time for the deck move! 🛻💪

This one definitely didn’t go quite as planned. What we originally thought would be a fairly simple job of sliding the deck up onto the trailer and strapping it down quickly turned into hours of careful work.

Getting a deck this size loaded without damaging it took plenty of patience, teamwork, and a whole lot of adjusting, but we stuck with it and slowly worked it onto the trailer safely.

At the end of the day, we got the job done and, most importantly, the customer was happy! 🙌

Apparently we did something right, because we’ve now been hired to come back and move his shed as well! 😂

Another challenging move in the books for South Island Hauling. No matter how straightforward a job may look, we’re always ready to adapt and find a way to get it done safely.
