Sleepy Hollow Railroad Sleepy Hollow Railroad. Strathroy's Sleepy Hollow Rail Road has is but one of the many summer time attractions that Strathroy has to offer.

built in the late 60's and donated to the town, it has been bringing smiles to the children and the amagination of thousands of people who flee to the park every summer. Sleepy Hollow Railroad was started in 1971, by Earnie Suiter who donated the train and track to the town of Strathroy. The track was laid down by the Lions club members, and other help. The train first started running in 1973 by

Earnie Suiter. The original train was sold in 2008, and a new train was purchased by the town to take over for the old train. The new train and tendercar can haul a lot more cars and people, that is why we have a new Locomotive. David Robotham and I (Alvan McCauley) have spent over five years getting the track ready for the new locomotive. .we hope to see a lot of people out there this year, and don't forget we run on holidays too.
