Now that almost everyone has received and is picking up their fall candle orders this week, let’s chat and review our candle care instructions to make the most out of your Scentral Creations candles! 🕯️🗒️⬇️
⭐️ Give your candle enough time to establish a melt pool, so giving approximately 1-2 hours for the first candle burn. This allows the melt pool to reach the edge of the jar. Failure to do so can result in your candle “tunneling” therefore effecting how the candle will burn and stay lit thereafter!
⭐️ ALWAYS trim your wick to a 1/4 inch before re-lighting. This is especially important for wood wicks to keep the flame burning, and also to prevent cotton wicks from “mushrooming” and creating soot build up in the candle container. If your wood wick is having trouble staying lit at first, allow the candle to cool completely and remove any black carbon on the wick before re-lighting.
⭐️ Do not move your candle while it is burning or when the wax is still hot.
⭐️ Burn on stable heat resistant surfaces only.
⭐️ Keep candles away from wind drifts or open windows!
⭐️ Do not burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time!!
⭐️ Discontinue use of your candle when only a 1/2 inch of wax remains in the bottom.
⭐️ Never leave a burning candle unattended!
