This aerial shot shows steel beams installed for the guideway west of Highway 15.

While most of the guideway is built using concrete segments, steel beams are being used in a few locations instead due to design and constructability considerations.

Last month, the community showed up and joined us in making their mark on this future SkyTrain extension. 15 panels of signatures were signed and placed inside a concrete guideway segment, cementing this moment in time.

Watch as the segment is lifted and installed on the guideway just east of 64 Avenue in Surrey!

In April, crews installed these two guideway beams above Highway 15. These two beams together form one span of the guideway.

While most of the elevated guideway is constructed using guideway segments, beams are being used in a few locations along the alignment.
