We are happy to report that the X-Ray machine is back up and running!

Did you know that our flights have increased! This means wait times in screening may take longer then usual. As a reminder to all those travelling we do always recommend that you check with your airline to see what their suggested arrival time is for check-in so that you can make sure you get onto your flight!

If your flying out today please make sure to get to the airport early as check-in luggage has to be manually checked due to the x-ray machines being down!

We would like to thank everyone for their patience and are hoping the x-ray machines are up and running soon!

✈️ Travel Reminder for Passengers ✈️

To help ensure a smooth and stress-free travel experience, we encourage all passengers to arrive at the airport with plenty of time before their scheduled departure.

During peak travel periods, security screening may take longer than usual. Arriving early allows enough time for check-in, baggage drop-off, security screening, and getting to your gate before boarding begins.

⏰ Give yourself extra time and plan ahead especially during busy travel times.

YXT look's forward to welcoming you on your journey!

Heads Up, Travelers! Paving Work Starting in September!

Starting this September, we’ll be doing paving work on the airport entrance road as part of important improvements to our facilities.

Don’t worry — the airport will stay fully accessible, but you may experience some traffic delays getting in and out.

To avoid any stress, we recommend giving yourself a little extra travel time and arriving earlier than usual, especially if you have a flight to catch.

Thanks for your patience and understanding as we work to make your airport experience even better!

DID YOU KNOW!!

The Terrace-Kitimat Airport is actually owned and operated by the Terrace-Kitimat Airport Society which is a not-for-profit organization. None of the money that we receive is from the local tax base in the Community.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN...

This means everything we do is made possible by the fees that are collected by the users of the airport. From maintaining the runway to improving services for travelers, it all comes down to the support from you the user of the airport.

When you fly with us, you're not just booking a trip - you're helping keep our regional airport running strong.

We here at YXT would like to thank you for your continued support!
