REMINDER - MONTHLY PASS PRICE INCREASE: On Tuesday, September 1, the Monthly Pass price increases to $160. The pass provides unlimited travel for 31 days and provides significant savings for frequent riders.

If you make just seven $12 return trips each month from Grand Bend or Exeter to London or Sarnia ($12 x 2 = $24), you've already saved $8.

If you travel from Forest to Sarnia 4 times per week and back, you save $32.

ROUTE 1 - TRIP 2: Due to bus breakdown the first half of Trip 2 leaving Sarnia at 1:48 pm is not running. A REPLACEMENT bus will complete the second half of that Trip, leaving Grand Bend at 3:53 pm arriving in Sarnia at 5:50 pm.

Trip 3 will operate as normally scheduled.

ROUTE 3 – ZURICH BEAN FESTIVAL: Due to several road closures for the Zurich Bean Festival, there will be a detour within Zurich on Friday, August 21, 2026 and the bus stop will be temporarily MOVED to the library parking lot.

The bus will be travelling through Zurich on Friday at the following times:
• Grand Bend to Goderich: 12:20 pm and 3 pm
• Goderich to Grand Bend: 2:12 pm and 4:52 pm

Fare to Zurich is $6. Children 12 and younger ride free with an adult.

ROUTE 3 - CR84 DETOUR CONTINUES: County Road 84 / Zurich-Hensall Road will be closed until August 24, 2026 for a culvert replacement.

ROUTE 2 DETOUR & DELAY - SEPT. 13: Expect a slight delay on Route 2 in the morning heading back to Grand Bend from London when the bus travels through Exeter on Sunday, September 13 between 11 am and Noon.

Due to a special event, Main Street South will be closed between Gidley Street and Sanders Street. Route 2 will detour via Sanders Street to Andrew Street to Gidley Street, then return to Main Street.

As a result of the road closure, bus stop #2350 in front of the library will not be serviced.

ROUTE 1 EXPRESS SERVICE CANCELLED: Effective Monday, July 27, 2026, the Route 1 Express service between Sarnia and Grand Bend will be discontinued.

The seasonal Express service was added for the summer to accommodate anticipated increases in ridership. However, demand has been significantly lower than expected, and the additional vehicle is no longer required.

REGULAR ROUTE 1 SERVICE IS NOT AFFECTED!

The regular Route 1 bus will continue to operate three return trips daily, seven days a week, between Sarnia and Grand Bend according to the published schedule.

MONTHLY PASS PRICE INCREASE SEPTEMBER 1: Effective September 1, 2026, the Monthly Pass will increase from $140 to $160.

The Monthly Pass offers excellent value, providing unlimited rides every month at a discounted price. Passengers making just two long-distance return trips each week would pay $192 in regular fares, while the Monthly Pass costs $160—a savings of $32 (16.7%).

As operating costs rise, periodic fare adjustments are necessary to support the long-term sustainability of the transit system.

Even with this change, HSAT's Monthly Pass remains one of the most affordable among Ontario's rural transit systems. HSAT also offers more service than many comparable systems, operating seven days a week, including weekends and statutory holidays, with longer daily service hours.

ROUTE 2 MORNING BUS CANCELLED: Sorry folks, we just heard that the Route 2 bus has suffered a flat tire and that it is unable to complete the morning trip to London and back. Since the spare bus is in the garage for routine maintenance, we have no choice but to cancel Trip 1.

A spare bus will be in service to run the afternoon Trip 2 leaving Sobeys Plaza, Grand Bend at 5:15 pm.
