The Youth Inclusion Program is new part of the Culture and Recreation Division of the City and they contracted me to offer DIY bike repair services in Limbrick.

This program is a highlight in my adventure as an entrepreneur. The ability to combine affordable access to transportation, recreation therapy, skills development and community building was always just something I wish I could make happen. And now it's just happening... all the time!

I'd also like to thank the City of Thunder Bay, Infrastructure and Operations Department for continuing to fund the build-a-bike program between Cooperative X and it's partner organizations.

And for all the people who want to use that railing as a pedestrian, I sincerely apologize.

For over a year now, we have built an amazing partnership with Ian at Cooperative X who facilitates a Build a Bike program for our clients. This program is so popular, it literally runs itself! It has been incredibly successful in helping our clients experience positive social interactions, gain independence, gain hands on skills and volunteer experience - all while getting to keep the bike they build. We had the pleasure of participating in Nor'wester View's build days in Sir Winston Churchill's cavernous auto shop. The students were engaged and focused as they built their bikes. It was inspiring to see their progress!
