Tilbury Downtown Revitalization Project We engage community residents and business partners to foster and promote growth and prosperity in downtown Tilbury.

Tilbury is the recipient of the Rural Economic Development (RED) Program offered through the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) for downtown revitalization. As a result of receiving the RED award, The Tilbury Downtown Revitalization (TDR) Project was created. Downtown revitalization is the process of improving the economic, physical and social well-being of a communit

y’s traditional town centre by: strengthening local business and encouraging investment by building and property owners; creating enjoyable public streets and spaces animated by a variety of creative and civic activities; and providing work and living opportunities that respond to people’s needs across a spectrum of ages and interests.
