BEFORE…WHAT?
Penguins shed their feathers all at once -the “catastrophic molt” and grow brand-new ones. Since their feathers aren’t waterproof during this time, they stay on land and fast for a few weeks until their new coat is ready.
Then its fresh feathers, smooth finish and back to the sea in full formalwear!
Contact me for ‘laugh out loud’ moments on expedition where the molt waits for no one.

WHAT IS BLACK, WHITE AND ABSOLUTLELY BREATHTAKING?
In the icy calm of Antarctica, the orcas appear out of nowhere — wild, powerful, graceful and free.

What a humbling experience to witness the pod move in perfect sync- a front row seat to a show only Mother Nature can provide.

PENGUINS DON’T FLY… but do they? 🐧✈️

I flew across the legendary Drake Passage in less than two hours aboard one of the four penguin-painted planes of Antarctica Airways — a tribute to the species I hope to see there.

Penguin-painted planes, smooth skies, and Antarctica in hours instead of days at sea.

Short on time? Prefer to skip sailing the Drake Passage?
(I won’t tell)

Contact me to fly one way or both ways.

“Glittering white, shining blue, raven black, in the light of the sun the land looks like a fairy tale.
Pinnacle after pinnacle, peak after peak, crevasses, wild as any land on our globe, it lies unseen and untrodden.”
- Roald Amundsen (Polar Explorer)

“Holding my breath in awe gazing at icing sugar-dusted mountains
Ice sparkling like diamonds in the brilliant Antarctic sun
Still water mirroring the landscape perfectly
Blurring the line between reality and reflection
Humbled and grateful for every moment.”
- Carol Hornsby on expedition with National Geographic Lindblad Expeditions
