This weekend at the IWK 250, we’re racing in honor of a man whose impact on the motorsports community will never be forgotten.
Our founder, Dwight Giddens, recently passed away, leaving behind a legacy that reaches far beyond R&D Performancenter. Dwight was known throughout the racing world for his incredible knowledge of engines and race cars of every genre. Whether someone needed advice, an engine built, or help solving a problem, he was always willing to share his experience and passion for the sport.
The company he built was a reflection of who he was—dedicated, hardworking, and always striving for excellence. His passion helped countless racers, and his influence can be found in race shops, garages, and on race tracks across the Maritimes and beyond.
To honor his memory, we’re proud to carry Dwight’s name on the race car this weekend at the IWK 250. It’s our way of saying thank you to the man who built this company and inspired so many of us.
Thank you, Dwight, for your friendship, your wisdom, and the legacy you’ve left behind. Your impact on the racing community will live on for generations.
