What an incredible night celebrating the Barn Burner in support of the District of North Vancouver Firefighters Charitable Society! ❤️🔥

As the Presenting Partner, we're proud to help raise funds for two amazing organizations making a real difference in people's lives: Buddy Check for Jesse, supporting youth mental health initiatives, and North Shore Family Services, providing vital programs and support for families on the North Shore.

The night was a perfect reminder of what can happen when great music, great people, and a great cause come together. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and helped turn a concert into a meaningful way to support our waterfront communities.

World-class safety on B.C.’s waterfront is built through investment in people, infrastructure, and training.

In 2025, the BCMEA rolled out the Blaxtair Pedestrian Detection System across the lift-truck fleet—enhancing on-site awareness and reducing collision risk in high-traffic areas. At our Waterfront Training Centre, the new Lines Practical set-up area is giving workers hands-on experience in safely securing vessels before stepping into live terminal environments.

Together, these advancements in innovation and hands-on training are strengthening safety where it matters most—on the job site.

At the BCMEA, safety is part of everything we do. Through the continued investments of our members, we deliver comprehensive training and upskilling to ensure every worker has the skills to do their job safely.
