✨ A little piece of New Orleans history we stumbled across last week… ✨

This gorgeous building in the heart of the French Quarter is the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, and it has quite the story. 🥂🏛️

Dating back to 1817, this historic building was once home to the Orleans Theatre and Ballroom, where opera, extravagant masquerade balls and New Orleans’ high society came together. 🎭✨

After a devastating fire, the ballroom survived and the property later became a convent, school and orphanage—before eventually becoming the beautiful hotel it is today.

And because this is New Orleans… 👻 it’s also said to be one of the city’s most haunted hotels, with stories of ghostly dancers, children, nuns and even a Confederate soldier wandering the halls.

200+ years of stories, right here in the French Quarter. ❤️‍🔥

Throwing it back to that magical golden hour at Uluwatu Temple, perched dramatically on the cliffs overlooking the Indian Ocean. Watching the sun melt into the horizon while the waves crashed below was one of those “pinch me, I’m in Bali” moments. 🧡
