I have to say we're very pleased with the continueing interest in Rain Bears build. Estelle and I are continueing an upgrade to a cottage we've bought in Quebec. Hope to have the majority finished by spring. I'm looking forward to starting our next build by late summer. Will keep you up to date. Cheers

For those of you who might be wondering what is happening with us we've move to Quebec and bought a sweet funky cottage with attached shop for me and studio space for Estelle. All in need of upgrades so it will be about a year to get all square and then the next build. Cheers

Rain Bear has sold,
We are very happy to announce that John Cordic of Santa Monica Calf. ( http://www.rjcbuilders.com ) has purchased Rain Bear and is in the process of moving her to Southern California. Rain Bear is now in the hands of an enthusiast who will take her into the future with love and care. The sale of Rain Bear will allow Estelle and I to continue the creative journey, starting with a move east and a new workshop and studio. Stay tuned......
Our thanks to Greg Horne of Custom Yacht Sales in Sidney B.C. for the support in finding a new owner for Rain Bear and the video of Rain Bear on her way across the Gulf to Shelter Island Marina and her trip south.

We have finally decided to move forward from this stuck place we find ourselves in. We lifted Rain Bear out last Friday and we're going to store her on the hard for the winter. In late winter/early spring we'll put her back in the water for the trip to Shelter Island Marina in Richmond to await a ride to the east. We spent two weeks in September visiting our son Tristan in Montreal and Estelle's family who are close to Sorel Tracy. We also visited Iroquois Marine Services in Iroquois Ontario. This is where Rain Bear will be heading for relaunch and winter storage. We are planning on moving to a hoped for house rental somewhere between Iroquois Ontario and Sorel Tracy in Quebec. We primarily need accommodation for the fall/winter/spring as we plan on cruising Lake Ontario and the St.Lawrence River in the summer. So, a long term rental and we need something under $1000. A small house/cottage would be ideal.
So, the journey continues and we'll see where it leads us, cheers.

Ok, so I'm getting warnings from Facebook that we're offending Meta in some strange way. Not able to correct what we don't understand but if we disappear you'll understand why.

Finally got the boat set up to take the tender over the cockpit. With the tow rope run through blocks to the main sheet winch getting her aboard is a one person operation. The build is now complete!
