Now for the vacuum check 👌

Every valve seat is checked after machine the valve seat. We don’t lap the seats after machining if they cap pull vacuum with just the weight of the seat we are good to go. These are a up grade 3 angle seat job.

Building a 383 stroker isn’t rocket science but equally it’s not just a simple case of buying a rotating assembly and bolting it together. There will be clearance issues from rod bolts to counter weights to take care off. We like to machined the block to a known size to achieve our goals. With years of experience we don’t have to guess what and where to machine the engine block.

Cylinder honing isn’t just about making the bore round and parallel. Surface finish is just as crucial as being dimensional correct. We aim and achieve between 38-40 degrees of cross hatching and finish with a plateau technique to reach our finish RA value. This has proven to enable quicker break in time and longevity of performance.
