A favourite tour among many of our guests, this tour combines the best of biking and lake/river paddling. Ride to the most southern point of Alta Lake before either paddling around the lake or down the River of Golden Dreams. Once your paddling experience is done, jump back on a bike for final ride back to the village through the winding scenery of the valley trail. This tour is fun for everyone involved and can be catered to make it a challenge for the even the most adventuresome. Hiking

We have a number of great hikes to choose from. The ever-exciting waterfalls of Nairn, Alexander and Brandywine need to be seen to be believed and the Cheakamus Lake (Rainforest Walk) & Whistler Alpine tours provide some challenging hikes through amazing terrain. Easy, moderate or hard there is a bike tour for everyone no matter how experienced the rider is. Our highly experienced guides have a number of routes that range from easy, beautiful and scenic, to tough single track cross country rides that venture through ideal terrain with rivers and streams passing through them. Tour Highlight: Cheakamus Lake Rainforest Walk

Our Rainforest hiking tour takes you out of the village and into untouched nature. Join an experienced WET hiking guide through the Cheakamus River Valley, hiking beneath a canopy of ancient cedars and towering Douglas firs. This valley holds special spiritual significance to local First Nations. The upper valley is old-growth temperate rainforest, undisturbed for thousands of years. A moderate walk brings you to the glacier-fed waters of Cheakamus Lake, with stunning views along the way.

Whistler Eco Tours has been lucky to welcome a strong team of new guides this summer, among them, our Employee of the Month for July!

Meet Will - a softly spoken Englishman with the patience of a saint and the knowledge of a Lonely Planet guide.

Will has been an integral part of our operations this summer, from guiding tours of a lifetime to cooking up hot dogs for Locals Night, this guy has it covered!

Tour Highlight: Green Lake Adventure Paddle

Paddle the glacier-fed, vivid-green waters of Green Lake. Launching from Meadow Park, follow the final stretch of the River of Golden Dreams as it flows into Green Lake. Expect stunning mountain views, float plane sightings, and the option to stop in at the historic Parkhurst ghost town, a step back into the 1920s logging era.

Whistler Eco Tours is the only company offering guided canoe or kayak tours on Green Lake. With water levels on the River of Golden Dreams low this time of year, Green Lake is the perfect (if not, better) alternative big scenery, calm water, and a paddle you won’t find anywhere else in Whistler!

Thats a wrap on Locals Nights for the 2026 Summer Season!

Thank you to everyone for getting involved! Wether you stopped in for a hot dog or stayed for the evening to try some water rentals. We run locals nights to celebrate the whistler community; getting to meet and chat to locals is a reminder of why we put these events on!

While Locals nights are done for the summer, we still have lots of fun things planned for you, so keep your eyes out!
