WME Transportation is a long time Manitoba based company that was acquired in July of
2021.

people; and commitment to our customers. Our people will always be the source of our success and their safety and health will always come first. We are currently seeking an experienced Driver Recruiter to join our team.
As the Driver Recruiter, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, qualifying, and hiring drivers based on Operational requirements. The ultimate mission of this role is to ensure all required lanes are covered with qualified drivers, and to improve driver retention and lower turnover rates.
Other job details include:
• Work with management to ensure driver needs are being tended to
• Sourcing potential candidates from various channels including online, social media, word
of mouth, advertising, cold calls, etc.
• Design and update driver job descriptions and sell packages
• Source innovative ways of attracting candidates
• Screen incoming applications
• Conduct background checks
• Candidate interviews
• Advertise all job openings using all channels available, source new innovative channels
for recruitment
• Present candidates to management for approval
• Present offers of employment as per company procedures
• Lead and participate in strategies to develop, attract and retain strategies for drivers
• Participate in on the road and in house recruitment events
• Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs
• Measure recruitment success and challenges and report to management as required
• Track and manage applicants for future contact
• Additional recruitment opportunities within the group of companies in the organization as
required
Qualifications:
• At least 1 year successful experience as a recruiter
• Experience with sourcing techniques
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong Written and Oral communication skills
• Strong organizational and priority management skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Previous experience in the Transportation Industry
