So I’m back in beautiful Amber again and have been for the last month, the sale didn’t go through, not that there weren’t any buyers but the financing company’s didn’t want to finance anyone. So we put here back on the road and keep on keeping on. And I’m ok being back with her i still like her, my other ideas will just have to wait. Some pictures from the company driver days which was ok but i prefer being my own boss. For the last three weeks we added an axle to be able to haul bigger and heavier tractors, so far up to 78000 lb which puts me at around 126000 lb gross. luckily we have been busy and it keeps coming.👍👍

The Pete is back where it started, Let’s see if they can sell it for me, starting out at $199500. If it sells then i will make a decision what route to go i have some ideas . Meanwhile i signed on with the same company REK Express as a company driver and have been for some weeks now which is okay, however there has been some issues with the truck and last week I got struck by a big mattress going down a two lane highway in Illinois, because why would you need to secure that on your pickup bed??, mirror bracket busted and dented the door. Later the same week in Seattle heading up to BC a lady decided to cut in front of me catching an exit way too late and she didn’t make it, she crushed straight into the lane dividers and pushed them out in front of me so that was the end of my trip. At least nobody got injured. I got towed to Peterbilt in Seattle i spent two nights in a hotel while the office decided what to do before flying home. Now I’m on my way to Seattle again in a different company truck (identical) with a load that i’m dropping in Spokane Wa and then before loading up in Tacoma I’m recovering all my personal belongings and all the truck equipment from the damaged truck in Seattle . It’s always something🤔 and for the record i was not a fault in any of the accidents, cleared by the police.

Spring is in full bloom thank goodness,there was som typical end of winter storms. Freight is a little slower than normal but doable. Truck sale didn’t work yet however couldn’t have picked a worse time due to politics so I keep on keeping on it happens when it happens. It’s been mostly stepdeck and flatbed for a while which works just fine for me, usually that means loads in both directions 👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦

So it’s been hard core trucking over the holidays and into the new year I did have the important days of over Christmas but that’s it, only resets and most of them at home.It’s going to be an interesting and unpredictable year to say the least so much going on in the Us and Canada but hope for the best is what we can do I guess. Will make some changes in the future but we’ll deal with that then. Now it’s full speed John Deer race a lot of equipment going into Canada, not as much going south but sometimes it happens. Keep on trucking 🚛💨💨🇨🇦🇺🇸

Just keep on keeping on, even when it’s tough and s**t happens I guess that’s the ups and downs of being in business you just do what you have to do and push on. Replacing an engine wasn’t in our planing but it happened in October and you deal with it, four weeks down, then hard at it again.Looking back at the summer pictures sure makes me miss summer but we’re soon there again, hang in there 👍👍🚛💨💨🇨🇦🇺🇸💪💪

Sadly it’s seems it’s coming to end of summer but still trucking on and looking forward to a beautiful fall, had two weeks vacation and had our daughter visiting, great times. Meanwhile truck was in the shop getting some things fixed, just necessary when doing the miles. When i got back i had a rounder down south, a trip little outside the regular JD lane🇨🇦🇺🇸🚛💨💨👍👍

Waiting at the moment in Calgary Ab for my reload after i delivered an asphalt paver this morning. Otherwise still going steady bringing in a lot of John Deer equipment into Canada from Illinois and Iowa, however had a little different rounder a couple of weeks ago with a load going to Kansas from Alberta and reloaded a Case combine out of Nebraska to Saskatchewan 🇨🇦🇺🇸🚛💨💨👍👍

Back in our Pete again after a week off and then three weeks in a 2020 Peterbilt 579 with a Packar engine and automated transmission that I decided to rent from the company while our truck got some attention in the shop with several things that needed to be fixed. Not a bad truck, very different and even after three weeks i just can’t se the benefits with automated transmission the shift pattern doesn’t make sense many times, not a fan of them I guess I’m just old school, Volvo’s I shift might be better. Love our classic truck it’s just a better feeling and fuel mileage wasn’t any better in the 579 either. 👍👍🚛💨💨🇨🇦🇺🇸

Still going strong even if there’s been some slowdowns due to closed highways for bad weather. Spending the night in East Moline Illinois after i loaded three sets of tires today but because one set only was two tires and a crate I had some more space and wanted to fill it up with one more set of tires and crate, unfortunately they couldn’t get me in again to load until tomorrow morning, but that’s how it goes sometimes in trucking 👍👍🇨🇦🇺🇸👍👍🚛💨💨

As expected a lot of John Deer equipment up to Saskatchewan and Manitoba, 100% of my north bound loads have been JD Green, it’s been quite a lot empty miles down to East Moline Illinois because of the urgency to get them out, but sometimes they throw in some south bound loads as well. And a mix of different trailers 🇨🇦🇺🇸👍👍🚛💨💨
