It's going to be a large car kind of day!

Happy Sunday! Can’t wait to see everyone next weekend, it’s going to be a great event for the whole family!!

A few FAQS:

✅ Dogs are allowed but must be ON LEASH and well behaved. Please remember it could get loud during the Loud and Proud Memorial as well as the Fireworks.
✅ All entries, trucks and spectators, are by donation. We do not want to set a price that prohibits anyone from coming, please come enjoy the day, but give as you can. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Carleton-York appreciates your support.
✅ Please listen to and respect the parking attendants, remember we are all volunteers.
✅ We will have Wheelchair parking as close as possible, please let us know if you need it.
✅ We will be parking trucks Friday evening as well and there will be security on hand Friday and Saturday overnight.
✅ If you are entering a truck, please plan to stay until 11pm. If you cannot, then let us know and we will make sure to es**rt you out when you need to leave. There will be a large crowd and safety is our #1 priority!

Yesterday, May 22nd, we had the honour of sending of Morley Annear, founder of Morley Annear Trucking, to join his beloved wife Jean. This one hit hard as Morley has always been more than a great customer, he's been a friend.
A few words from our founder, Arnold Stockford, on Morley:

"As we journey on our road trip on this 21st day of May 2026, my mind is filled with mixed feelings of gratefulness, sadness and thankfulness of a person who came into my life many years ago through supporting my business by having the trust in me to maintain his equipment.

It wasn’t long before we struck up a lasting friendship that I hold very close to my heart and it will stay there forever. I couldn’t wait to visit and hang out with him when ever the opportunity presented itself. I always felt so comfortable and relaxed in his presence. He was very kind and soft spoken and had a very warm personality. Even though our visits weren’t always as long or often as I preferred they were fulfilling and genuine. He really cherished his family and friends.

The first time I met him it was quite awhile after we starter doing business together and I immediately felt a strong connection with him. I had delt mostly with his maintenance personnel and had never spoken to him on the phone up until that point. My cell phone rang and this deep voice identified himself and he was inquiring if there was a taxi in my area as he was there and needed to get from Woodstock to Hartland to pick up a truck. I said your taxi will be right along and “Arns Taxi service “ went on the call. After picking him up we headed for Hartland driving by my place on the way there and then when we were getting near Hartland Irving restaurant I asked him if he would like something to eat. He said yes as long as he could buy. I could tell that any resisting would not be an option. He said I think I would like a piece of cherry pie and a coffee. Even though cherry wasn’t my fav it was that night because there was something about him that just made that cherry pie turn into something that was well savoured as was my friendship with him.

We had many of those “cherry pie “ moments over the years. The last time I seen my dear friend I took him a full cherry pie and left it with him as time didn’t permit to share a piece at that moment but I’m sure he didn’t leave any to go to waste. His hospitality was second to none. Another very special moment was the day he bought a new re**er unit from me, his first new one ever. I felt immensely honoured. I’m sure his spirit will be forever embedded in the hearts of many."
