Agile Wind Power

Agile Wind Power Local production of wind energy for commerce and industry. Vertical-axis wind turbines provide various advantages. Good integration with the landscape.

Agile Wind Power is developer of the first large, economically scalable vertical-axis wind turbine for commercial power generation. Some of them are: 3x reduced audible emissions due to slow rotation speed. Higher safety for birds and bats thanks to the vertical rotor and a calm visual appearance. No heavy transport is needed thanks to smaller and lighter components, and no pneu cranes are needed

due to a self-construction system. Agile Wind Power wind turbines stand out due to their pitch control, which is one of its proprietary technology. The individual 360° positioning for each rotor blade leads to higher performance and decreased load on the system structure. This results in less use of material and therefore higher profitability. Terefore the economically scaling of vertical-axis wind turbines become possible for the first time. The first products, A32 and A45 (nominal capacity of 750 kilowatts and 1.5 megawatt) are perfectly positioned for decentralized power generation in which less environmental impacts are highly relevant (settlement areas). The technology can also be employed in even bigger wind turbines.

Up to 3x quieter than conventional wind turbines — yet a megawatt-scale solution for your power needs.

That's exactly what makes Vertical Sky® interesting for warehouses and logistics centers, where neighbors, operations, and permitting authorities all have a say.

Because power demand in logistics keeps rising: conveyor systems, charging infrastructure for e-trucks, cold storage and warehouse space. Many roof areas are already covered with solar panels — but PV alone doesn't cover every time of day and season.

That's where Vertical Sky® comes in: our megawatt-class vertical wind turbines generate additional electricity directly on-site — the ideal complement to your PV system. While solar power flows mainly during the day and in summer, wind often delivers energy at night and in winter. The result: significantly more stable power generation throughout the year.
And because Vertical Sky® runs at under 35 dB at a distance of 25 m, it blends seamlessly into existing commercial and logistics sites — without conflicts with neighbors or operations.

✅ Very quiet operation, high local acceptance
✅ More efficient use of existing space
✅ Ideal complement to your existing PV system
✅ Greater energy independence for your business

Quiet. Safe. Deployable anywhere: The next generation of wind power.

Energy self-sufficiency talk usually centers on solar — overlooking wind as a strong complementary source. For years, wind turbines were pushed to the outskirts: too loud, too much shadow flicker, too risky for birds.

Vertical wind power solves exactly these problems. Thanks to their design, vertical turbines run up to 3x quieter than horizontal ones. Their compact rotation minimizes flicker effect. And because the blades are vertically oriented, they stay clearly visible to birds — reducing collision risk.

The result: wind power can now go where it wasn't allowed before — into urban, residential, and ecologically sensitive areas. That's a real opportunity to diversify self-generated power and reduce dependence on a single source or time of day. Wind complements solar especially well in winter and evenings, for a more stable year-round supply.

With patented Vertical Sky® technology, Agile Wind Power makes this possible: real-time blade pitch control continuously optimizes each blade's angle, boosting efficiency even in variable wind. After 15 years of development and ~CHF 55 million invested: market-ready technology for decentralized, quiet, cost-effective power.

The energy transition depends on intelligent combinations.
Photovoltaics and wind power aren't competitors – they're the perfect duo.

PV systems generate reliable power during the day. When radiation drops – at night or in cloudy conditions – Vertical Sky by Agile Wind Power takes over. Its low-speed vertical rotor enables quiet, bird-friendly operation directly on-site.

The result: a stable, predictable, sustainable year-round energy system – optimal use of rooftop and site space, enhanced resilience through complementary generation profiles, predictable energy costs independent of grid volatility, and measurable ESG impact through CO₂ reduction.

A concrete example: an industrial company with 8.6 GWh annual consumption covers 0.7 GWh via PV. Adding Vertical Sky delivers another 2.4 GWh – together, an on-site supply of ~36%: sustainable, predictable, a decisive step toward energy independence.

➡️ Full energy – day and night. Vertical Sky and PV: the perfect match for a sustainable corporate future.

At a recent industry event, it was calculated that the transition of heavy-duty vehicles to electric propulsion will require an additional 20–45 TWh of electricity per year in Germany.

The problem: Our power grids cannot handle these peak loads at logistics sites. The solution lies not only in grid expansion—logistics centers must themselves become e-hubs: sites with their own decentralized on-site power generation.

Conventional wind power is usually out of the question for this—too loud, too space-intensive, too far from the industrial park. This is exactly where Vertical Sky® comes in: quiet, compact, and deployable directly on the company premises.

How do you envision the energy supply for tomorrow’s logistics?

⚡ Electricity price volatility is a business risk – not just a headline.

For energy-intensive companies, uncertainty in the power markets has become part of strategic planning: hard-to-predict procurement costs, budget deviations, and a risk that directly affects margins and competitiveness.

An effective response: self-generated electricity. Companies that cover part of their own energy needs reduce their dependence on the spot market, gain more predictable energy costs, and strengthen their ESG performance at the same time.

With Agile Wind Power's patented Vertical Sky® technology, this is now possible even at sites previously unsuitable for conventional wind power. Our megawatt-scale vertical wind turbines are three times quieter than conventional turbines – ideal for operation close to industrial and commercial sites, logistics centers, or municipal locations.

For companies and project developers, this means: → Predictable energy costs, independent of market swings → Greater supply security for critical processes → A mature, patented system – market-ready after 15 years of development and around CHF 55 million in investment → A scalable contribution to climate targets and sustainability reporting
The first commercial 1 MW installation is expected to be delivered to customers by the end of 2027 – now is the right time to build self-generated electricity into your company's energy strategy.

Water Treatment – Local Energy Production for Municipal Infrastructure

A medium-sized municipality operates a wastewater treatment plant, a municipal maintenance facility, and public buildings. Its annual electricity consumption is approximately 4 GWh. At the same time, the municipality is pursuing ambitious climate goals and aims to make its energy supply more resilient.

With a Vertical Sky® system on the grounds of the wastewater treatment plant, part of the energy can be generated locally. The system utilizes existing infrastructure space and delivers electricity exactly where it is needed.
This strengthens regional energy production while reducing emissions.
