Agile Wind Power

Agile Wind Power Local production of wind energy for commerce and industry. Vertical-axis wind turbines provide various advantages. Good integration with the landscape.

Agile Wind Power is developer of the first large, economically scalable vertical-axis wind turbine for commercial power generation. Some of them are: 3x reduced audible emissions due to slow rotation speed. Higher safety for birds and bats thanks to the vertical rotor and a calm visual appearance. No heavy transport is needed thanks to smaller and lighter components, and no pneu cranes are needed

due to a self-construction system. Agile Wind Power wind turbines stand out due to their pitch control, which is one of its proprietary technology. The individual 360° positioning for each rotor blade leads to higher performance and decreased load on the system structure. This results in less use of material and therefore higher profitability. Terefore the economically scaling of vertical-axis wind turbines become possible for the first time. The first products, A32 and A45 (nominal capacity of 750 kilowatts and 1.5 megawatt) are perfectly positioned for decentralized power generation in which less environmental impacts are highly relevant (settlement areas). The technology can also be employed in even bigger wind turbines.

1,000 Operating Hours: Vertical Sky® A6 in Practical Use

An important milestone has been reached: The Vertical Sky® A6 has successfully completed its first 1,000 operating hours.
What does this mean in concrete terms?

→ Reliable performance in real-world operation
→ A continuous data set under varying conditions
→ Confirmation of system stability in the field

With every additional hour of operation, not only does the runtime increase, but so does our understanding of the interplay between aerodynamics, control systems, and energy yield.
The insights gained are directly incorporated into the further development of the technology—and form the basis for the next scaling step.

👉 One step closer to a new generation of wind energy.

Agile Wind Power’s unique selling point is its ability to control each rotor blade individually and in real time.
Vertical-axis wind turbines are not a new concept. Their potential has long been recognized—as has the challenge of scaling them economically.

➡️ The crucial step lies in how the airflow can be harnessed in a controlled manner throughout the entire rotation.

This is precisely where Agile Wind Power’s technology comes into play. Through individual pitch control of the rotor blades in real time, each blade is continuously adapted to the current airflow. This enables stable energy generation at low rotational speeds.

This controlled mode of operation yields characteristics that are essential for use in industrial environments: quiet operation, high system stability, and the ability to integrate into existing infrastructure.

Technological progress thus lies not in the design, but in the precise control of aerodynamics. It lays the foundation for making vertical wind energy scalable and widely applicable for the first time.

Why does wind power belong in every modern energy system?

It’s simple: it fills the gaps that other sources can’t.
While solar power depends heavily on the time of day and weather conditions, wind provides additional stability—especially when energy is still needed.
This creates a system that operates closer to where energy is consumed, is more reliable, and better suits the realities of industry and infrastructure.

Wind isn’t just an add-on.
Wind is part of the solution.

Innovation you can experience firsthand.

At the Swissmem NES Annual Meeting, we had the opportunity to showcase our Vertical Sky® system in Brütten right on site—in full operation.
For many guests, this provided a clear demonstration of what modern wind energy can look like today: quiet, efficient, and right in the heart of industrial applications.

Thank you for the engaging discussion and the great interest!

Agile Wind Power is attending Smart Freight Week in Amsterdam (April 13–16, 2026).

The event clearly highlights where modern energy demand is heading – and where new solutions are required.
Logistics and industrial companies are facing a growing challenge: increasing electricity demand, the need to reduce CO₂ emissions, ensuring security of supply, and maintaining competitive energy costs.
This is exactly where we see the application of Vertical Sky®.
Directly on-site.
Where energy is not abstract, but an integral part of operations and value creation.

➡️ Smart Freight Week makes one thing clear: energy systems are evolving towards more local, integrated and reliable solutions.
We look forward to the exchange in Amsterdam.

The continuous development of our technology is at the heart of our work.

We are currently cross-referencing the findings from our A6 test facility with the results of recent wind tunnel tests. This ensures that our systems function optimally under real-world conditions and are continuously improved.

At the same time, preparations are underway for the certification of our 1MW plant – an important milestone on the path to the widespread implementation of our technology.

Step by step, we are putting innovation into practice.

Now is the time for Vertical Sky®

The German federal government’s new regulations present a clear opportunity:
Companies with an annual electricity consumption of over 1 GWh can receive a subsidy of up to 5 cents per kWh—if they invest in CO₂ reduction.

This is exactly where Vertical Sky® comes in: The combination of financial relief and a mandatory investment requirement makes local, clean electricity production immediately economically attractive in many cases for the first time.

An example:
A company with 4 GWh of annual consumption can save around €300,000—and invest part of that directly in a Vertical Sky® system.

The result:
✔ Stable, on-site electricity production
✔ Reduced dependence on the market
✔ Genuine decarbonization

The framework is in place. Now is the time to take advantage of it.

Energy Security in an Uncertain World – and the Role of Vertical Sky® A40

For the second time in just four years, the world is experiencing a major supply and price shock in the energy market. Global supply chains remain vulnerable, and a large part of the world’s energy flows still depends on a single maritime corridor.
For industries, utilities and other energy-intensive organizations this is a clear signal: energy resilience must become a strategic priority.

Electrification is often discussed in the context of decarbonization. But its strategic importance goes further. Electrification enables a transition toward locally produced, predictable and stable energy sources.

This is where decentralized wind energy becomes essential.
With Vertical Sky® A40, Agile Wind Power is developing a solution designed specifically for industrial environments:
➡️ on-site electricity generation
➡️ long-term stable energy costs
➡️ reduced exposure to global supply shocks

Local energy production strengthens resilience.
And resilience is becoming one of the most valuable assets for industry.
The transition to electrified, decentralized energy systems has already begun.
