I’ve always been fascinated by aircraft, so working in aviation was a natural choice for me.

I started my career in crew control, but as I got to see more of what happens in dispatch on a day-to-day basis, I realized that’s where I wanted to be - on the ops floor, right in the middle of the action.

That’s what led me to learn more about flight operations and become a dispatcher. What I really enjoy about the role is that you never know what the day is going to bring.
Every day is different, there’s always a new challenge to deal with, and you’re constantly learning something new.

This document is called AOC — an Air Operator Certificate. And we hold TWO of them. And here’s why 👇

An Air Operator Certificate — or AOC — is the regulatory foundation that allows an airline or aircraft operator to conduct commercial air transport.

But it is much more than a certificate.

Before an authority grants an AOC, an operator must demonstrate that it has the organisation, qualified people, procedures and systems required to operate aircraft safely and compliantly. And that oversight doesn’t stop once the certificate is issued.

At AXIS Aviation, we operate under two AOCs:

🇦🇹 Austria 🇸🇲 San Marino

Why two?

Because aircraft owners are different. Their aircraft, operational requirements and preferred structures are different too. Having two AOCs allows us to offer different regulatory and operational environments within one aviation group — and to find the structure that fits each aircraft and its owner.

Being a Flight Dispatcher means keeping the bigger picture in mind while making sure all the little details come together. From planning and monitoring flights to coordinating with pilots and the ground team, there’s always something happening behind the scenes, and every decision can make a difference.

Since becoming a Dispatcher, I’ve learned to think ahead, stay calm when things get busy, and adapt when plans suddenly change. Most of all, it’s taught me the value of communication and teamwork.

Because behind every happy VIP client walking away from a smooth flight, there’s a Dispatcher somewhere in the back, juggling the details, solving the problems, and making things happen. 😎✈️

Challenging? Definitely. Rewarding? Absolutely. And I’m proud to be part of an amazing team of Dispatchers who have each other’s backs, push through the tough days, and always get the job done. 💪✈️

10/10 costs of owning a private jet nobody mentions before you sign 👀👇
Spoiler: AXIS does

1️⃣ Crew, not fuel Salaries, recurrent sim, type ratings. Your biggest fixed cost never leaves the ground.
2️⃣ Positioning flights The aircraft has to get to you. You pay for those hours too.
3️⃣ The peak-season slot Priced by region and by season. A slot in the wrong month costs multiples of the right one.
4️⃣ Engine programme reserves Billed per flight hour whether the aircraft flies or sits. Predictable — if someone modelled it for you.
5️⃣ The AOG day An unscheduled fault in the wrong country isn’t a maintenance cost. It’s a parts-logistics cost.
6️⃣ Scheduled downtime Weeks in the shop where the aircraft earns nothing and you charter a replacement at market rate.
7️⃣ Insurance that moves Hull and liability shift with crew experience, routes and airframe age. Last year’s premium tells you nothing.
8️⃣ Registration, VAT and structure Where the aircraft is registered decides what you pay for years. It’s a one-time decision with a permanent invoice.
9️⃣ Ground handling Landing, parking, overflight, de-icing, premium FBO fees. Small numbers, 200 times a year.
🔟 Depreciation The largest cost of all — and it’s decided on the day you buy, not the day you sell.
