THE CARGO CAN BE READY WHILE THE DOCUMENTS ARE NOT.
For commercial shipments from China, a finished order is only one part
of shipment readiness.
If the supplier’s commercial invoice, packing list and actual package
data use different descriptions or quantities, the freight team may
need to stop and confirm the details before warehouse handover or
booking preparation.
Before arranging sea or air freight, compare these points across the documents:
• Shipper and consignee details
• Clear and consistent commodity descriptions
• Model, material or intended use when required by the buyer
• Number and type of packages
• Net weight and gross weight
• Outer dimensions and total CBM
• Shipping marks and purchase-order references
• Origin city and destination airport or seaport
For cargo consolidated from several Chinese suppliers, review every
supplier’s documents separately before creating one master shipment
summary. Do not simply combine totals if the package count, weight or
commodity description is still unconfirmed.
A practical document check connects three things: what was purchased,
what is physically packed and what will be presented for transport.
Finding a discrepancy before pickup is much easier than correcting it
after the cargo has entered the shipping process.

commodity details, supplier locations, packing list, package count,
weight, dimensions/CBM, destination and cargo-ready date for a
