A product that looks good ≠ a product that sells well.
When you're evaluating a new pet product, the photos and price usually get your attention first.
But before adding it to your range, ask:
🐾 Does it solve a real problem?
A good-looking product still needs to make everyday pet care easier.
💎 Is it different enough?
If ten suppliers sell almost the same thing, price becomes the only battleground.
💰 Is the real margin healthy?
Don't forget freight, packaging, platform fees, returns and after-sales.
⚠️ Will it create problems later?
Leaks, breakage, odors, difficult cleaning and complaints can turn a “hot product” into an expensive SKU.
🤝 Can your supplier support you long term?
Stable quality, supply, realistic lead times, reasonable MOQ and fast problem-solving matter after the first order.
A good product isn't automatically a good product for your business.
What do you check first before adding a new pet product?
