Recently Shenzhen Speed-up Int'l Logistics moved four transformers and their accessories from origin at Wuhan factory to Shanghai Port for loading on the main ocean vessel. The total volume was 857 CBM, and the transformer main bodies weighed 76 Tons each. Since the factory is about 1200 kms from Shanghai port, we compared the cost both by truck, and by barge vessel. We found that the routing was much safer and cost effective by barge. The entire operation went very smoothly from the factory to Shanghai port, including the loading from trucks to the barge vessel and re-loading from the barge vessel to the mother vessel directly. The client was fully satisfied by our services.
