What happens before an LCL shipment gets on the train? 👀
Cargo arrives at our satellite warehouses across China, where our teams check, sort and consolidate shipments before connecting them with the railway departure terminals.

For us, the warehouse is more than just a place to store cargo — it’s an important link between local collection and long-distance rail transport. 🚂

A 40HQ can hold a lot. But when the cargo is a large drilling machine, “fitting inside” is only the first question. 😄

We recently handled a drilling equipment shipment from Linyi, Shandong, to Tbilisi, Georgia, with the cargo moving through Chengdu and onward by rail.

✅The machine was close to the practical size limits of a 40HQ, and its unusual structure created a potential concentrated-load problem.
Our team therefore prepared a different loading solution: timber boards were laid across the container floor to increase the load-bearing area, distribute the pressure and provide a more stable base for securing the machine.

✅The equipment also contained oil and electrical components, so the oil pipes were separately reinforced and packaged to reduce the risk of leakage during transportation.

✅The shipments were collected and coordinated before being brought together at our Chengdu off-terminal station, where the cargo was checked, consolidated, loaded and reinforced before railway dispatch.

It was a good reminder that for complex industrial cargo, the journey doesn't really begin when the train departs.
It begins with making the equipment ready for the journey. 🚂📦

🎓 From the classroom to the real world of logistics!
For three weeks, 12 students from Xi’an Jiaotong University joined our Xi’an team for an internship and got a closer look at how international logistics really works.
Xian Jiaotong University 西安交通大学
They explored China-Europe Railway Express operations, Central Asian and Trans-Caspian routes, customer development, logistics solutions, and more — connecting what they learned in class with real-world supply chain operations.

We were also excited to receive the “Off-Campus Practice Education Base” plaque from Xi’an Jiaotong University. 🤝

🚂 Every train departure starts with a lot of teamwork.

Two freight trains carrying export cargo have set off from Kuytun to Almaty, Kazakhstan, via the Alashankou border crossing.

From organizing cargo to coordinating railway resources and keeping everything on schedule, our team worked behind the scenes with our partners to help make it happen.

Another connection strengthened. Another step closer to Central Asia.
