Finishing up our Alaska Cruise recaps with one final Sea Day!

The night before, Tyler and I booked a Whiskey tasting while Tatum enjoyed the Small World Nursery. We love trying the beverage tastings when we sail! It’s a great way to try some new drinks for a great price, and we always learn something too.

On our last sea day we were super lazy and just wandered around pretty much all day, taking in the views and searching for more wildlife. Of course we had to get one more soft serve ice cream too.

Dinner was at Tiana’s, and the best way to end our cruise with Tiana’s famous beignets.

We cannot wait to get back to Alaska someday!

Ketchikan was our final cruise port stop, and we had the nicest weather of the entire trip on this day. ☀️

It was a gorgeous day to stroll around town and read about the history of this little town. But first we had a small character meet and greet list to take care of onboard… Bingo and Bluey were toooo cute and of course we are deep in the Toy Story craze right now!

Once on land we grabbed lunch and window shopped while Tatum got in her best nap of the cruise all around town. She woke up just in time for our Disney Exclusive Alaskan Lumberjack Excursion! 🪵 Disney Exclusive means we had a special visitor from Lumberjack Goofy! The show was so much fun.

My absolute favorite part of the day though was when we came out from dinner and had this gorgeous sunset and whales right outside the restaurant exit. It was absolutely breathtaking and one of the best parts of this cruise.

Our next cruise port stop - Juneau!

We spent the morning wandering the ship and taking in the views with the rainy weather. It was a colder day but it’s been a great excuse to break out our winter gear!

We got lunch out in Juneau, and I highlyyyyy recommend Deckhand Dave’s Fish Tacos. I got the breaded salmon tacos and they were incredible! Also their spicy fries were too good. We wandered around town some more, shopping and enjoying a coffee.

For dinner we indulged at Palo while Tatum had some fun at the nursery. Palo is my favorite meal on every sailing and I always get the spicy penne. With Tatum enjoying her nursery time we hit a few of the adult only bars onboard like the Cadillac Lounge for a Negroni and then had my favorite drink on the ships at Crown and Fin Pub. It’s called the “gin tea tonic” that comes in a massive teapot poured over a tea bag. It’s the best!

Day 4 on the Disney Wonder and our first land port - Skagway!

I cannot talk enough about how incredible the views on this sailing are. This trip has been worth it just to see the beautiful Alaskan landscape.

Of course the best days start with a Cove coffee with some character ✨

We explored this charming town and of course grabbed a few treats and some souvenirs along the way. It was very cool to see and hear the train going through the mountain! Next time we will definitely take it up to White Pass.

Back onboard for a few character meet and greets, and special showing of the new live action Moana. Did you know, if you’re sailing during a Disney Movie premier week, they will try to show the movie to the Guests onboard that Thursday night! So cool and Tatum loved it.

Day 3 was the best day! ❄️🧊

Our third day / second full day onboard was a Sea Day/Glacier Viewing day. This was my most anticipated day for a few reasons. We couldn’t wait to meet the characters in their iconic Alaska gear, see a glacier, and celebrate Frozen night! We even got to see some orca while waiting for Mickey. And of course, it was churro Mickey Waffle Day too!

Pictures do not do this day justice. From the views of the mountains coming up to the glacier with the waterfalls cutting through, to the iceburgs floating in the water and the little critters sleeping on top. Once we arrived to the glacier I was truly at a loss for words. How amazing that we get to experience this!

We spent lots of time of walking around on the outside decks (it was FREEZING) to take in all of the views and enjoy the complimentary hot chocolate and cookies. Of course we loved the Frozen sing-a-long party too. Truly a breathtaking day!

Recapping our first full day on the Disney Wonder, and it was a Day at Sea! ✨🌊

We spent our morning walking the entire ship (multiple times, toddler moms iykyk) and keeping an eye out for some wildlife. We were lucky enough to see a few whales!! 🐳 It was a rainy morning so I’m so happy we were able to spot them.

From there we played at toddler time which is my absolute favorite thing to do with Tatum on the ship. Mickey and Minnie’s Captain’s Deck is on every ship and is extremely toddler friendly. They bring out some extra toys too and let the kids just run around and play.

The Golden Mickey’s were in the evening which was so much fun. The show was captivating and Tatum enjoyed seeing some of her favorites on stage.

Dinner was at Animators Palette, a Disney Cruise classic. Of course we couldn’t end the night without some ice cream! 🍦

Embarkation Day is the best day!! 🚢

We are so excited to set sail on the Disney Wonder to explore Alaska. I am most excited for glacier viewing and I am hoping to see some whales or bears.

We arrived in Vancouver a day before the cruise start and did a pre-night stay at the Pan Pacific. This hotel is literally attached to the cruise terminal, so it’s super convenient especially with a toddler. And the view is insane! The hotel even takes your luggage over to the cruise ship for you on embarkation day. They came right to our room, tagged our bags, and they magically appeared at our stateroom on the ship later that day.

To get here, we just hopped on the skytrain from the airport and took it all the way to Waterfront Station (about 30 min). From there the hotel is about a 5 minute walk. This way we didn’t have to pack any car seats or worry about an uber.

We spent embark day exploring our home for the next week. We got Tatum registered in the nursery, booked Palo, and Tatum even had her first ice cream cone of the trip.
