After one day of exiting excursions with “The Flying Pirates” cruising around with Quads around the island we where heading towards Panamá city. Our weather forecast was not the best and before takeoff we had already the first shower. Unfortunately it was not the last one and sometimes we where just able to see one Gyro in front flying 300ft above the shoreline. At least we had some sunny moments during our 3 hours flight. 60 miles before Panamá city the bad weather was done and we had a beautiful view on the lake Gatun, followed by incredible views on the Panamá canal and the skyline of Panamá city. Everybody was happy with the incredible views and everybody was happy to be on the ground again after this super rough weather….

From Tortuguero we had a nice flight to Limon along the water canal and the coast. We passed the new cargo port, cruise ship port and city center on the way to the airport. Than came the big job, customs and immigration. Took nearly 2 hours, including refueling before we could continue to Panamá (Bocas del Toro). On the way we passed Cahuita, Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo before we crossed the boarder to Panama. Short after Changuinola started the archipelago
“Province Bocas del Toro” beautiful Carrebean islands. When we arrived in Bocas the whole airport stuff was waiting to see the Gyros. Unfortunately it took another 2 hours before all paper work was done and we could drive to the Botique Hotel “Divers Paradise”…..

Panama 2022
Today we took of for our 2022 Panama adventure, 6 Gyros and 11 people in total. Leaving Sámara at 8:30 in direction Volcano Arenal. Normally a very windy experience crossing the mountains but today we where very lucky, no wind and beautiful weather. Prior the trip we installed extra fuel tanks in the MTO 2010 which give us 83 l of fuel and a range of nearly 4 hours which is very helpful for this trip. BECAUSE FUEL IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE for a trip like this.
In Fortuna we had our 1st fuel and coffee stop and from there we continued to Barra Tortuguero in the north Carrebean costarican coast.
Arriving early we still have time to do a boat trip into the National park, famous for its biodiversity…

GYRO Tour June/July Costa Rica-Columbia-Costa Rica

Hello Gyro Travelers

The borders are opening up again, I would like to do a tour from Costa Rica to Cali (Colombia) - I plan about 2 weeks for the trip but 3 weeks are a prerequisite. Departure June 15 - Arrival Cali July 6 - or return flight July 6 Arrival Costa Rica July 27. You can of course fly both legs, but you can also split up.

If you have time and feel like it, get in touch and I'll continue to work on the planning.

Departure Cali not before 7.7.21

The price is depending on the amount of Gyro´s joining the Tour and the number of Instructors (Tour Guides) joining the trip. Below there is an example of 1-7 Pilots/Passengers and 1 Tour Guide.......................................

Hello Gyro pilots, because of our low Corona cases we where able to do several Gyro Tours around Costa Rica since December 2020.
