Alto NG - 120 HP Edge Performance

We offer company demonstrator ALTO NG, all-metal UL downwing plane built and operated by Direct Fly since March 2025.
The plane is very suitable especially for schools and clubs thanks to it's untricky flight characteristics, predictable stall, overall ease of piloting and landing and responsive controls.
This particular plane served for mainly flight demonstration and glider towing tests. The cruise speed is from 200 kph (4800 RPM/26 inHg) to 220 kph (5500 RPM/27 inHg), stall speed 74 kph in landing configuration. A 600 kg glider like ASK21 can be towed with 1,5-2 m/s climb without thermals.
The plane has 120 HP Edge Performance EP 915 ECi engine (naturally aspirated, fuel injected), electro-hydraulic E-Props Glorieuse constant-speed propeller, BRS preparation (kevlar straps installed, the parachute can be easily added upon request), electric pitch and roll trim controlled from stick grips, electric flaps, automatic pitch trimming in landing configuration, sliding vent windows, seats with inflatable lumbar support, LED nav/strobe/landing lights and beacon.
Instrumentation - Kanardia flight and engine instruments, Garmin G5 EFIS, Garmin Aera760 GPS + GDL 39R ADS-B in (traffic visible on GPS), COMM Trig TY91, XPDR Trig TT21.

Empty weight 329 kg, max. payload 271 kg, MTOW 600 kg.
Total hours flown 490 (the plane is operated almost daily).
The plane is in Brno, Czech Republic, where you can see it, test it and have a guided tour in the Direct Fly company.

Direct Fly na Aero Friedrichshafen předvede letoun STOL Cruiser společně se spolehlivým Alto NG ve verzi RTF i stavebnice

Na stánku B3-408 letos firma Direct Fly předvede nejen své sériově vyráběné Alto NG, ale i flying demonstrator zcela nového typu STOL Cruiser.
Spolehlivé, nezáludné a cenově dostupné Alto NG tak nově v portfoliu firmy doplní STOL Cruiser, který je koncipován jako letoun s krátkým vzletem a přistáním (STOL), určený pro provoz z krátkých nebo nezpevněných ploch. Konstrukce klade důraz na praktičnost, užitnou hodnotu a efektivitu v provozu v podmínkách, kde je omezená infrastruktura.
Letoun zároveň nabízí cestovní rychlost přibližně 180 km/h se základním 100 HP motorem a disponuje mimořádně velkým nákladovým prostorem o objemu 1000 litrů, což jej činí unikátním ve své kategorii z hlediska přepravní kapacity. Konstrukčně protichůdné požadavky na krátký vzlet a vyšší cestovní rychlost kladou vysoké nároky na letové i pozemní zkoušky stejně tak jako na certifikaci. V současné době probíhá výroba ověřovací série 6 ks letounu a pro zájemce o případnou koupi existuje možnost zapsání se na Priority list.
Dále se na stánku B3-408 můžete těšit na Alto NG nabízené s motory Rotax 912 ULS a iS, nebo Edge Performance až do 130 HP. Cenová dostupnost a příjemné letové vlastnosti dělají z letounu populární stálici v rámci leteckých škol a aeroklubů. Are you thinking about building your own plane? Then the Alto NG is for you! You will be hard pressed to find an easier kit to assemble. Our kits have all the parts primed and thanks to the "Match hole" technology there is no need to drill holes. In this video you will learn about the basic parts of the kit and that it is best to start building the rudder first.
By the way, you can also buy the rudder separately as a Rudder Starter Kit.

The basic kit of ALTO NG is inteded for those who are passionate about aviation and love working with their hands. The kit includes all parts needed to build the airframe – including control system, landing gear with Beringer brakes, canopy etc. The parts are CNC milled using match hole technology which means there’s no mutual drilling required as it’s usual for all metal kitplanes. You need a workshop no bigger than a garage, flat table, cleco clamps, suitable pliers and common workshop equipment.

Over the weekend, our Alto NG was on display at the NATO days. Among the many transport, military, multi-purpose and civilian aircraft, there was a chance to see a purpose-built aircraft suitable for pilot training as well as a private means of transport.

O víkendu bylo naše Alto NG k vidění na dnech NATO. V množství transportních, vojenských, víceúčelových i civilních letounů tak byla možnost spatřit i účelné letadlo vhodné pro výcvik pilotů i jako soukromý dopravní prostředek.
