Big news from Central Asia! 🌍 Škoda Group just signed a strategic agreement to deliver 10 modern electric trains to Uzbekistan. A historic project valued 120 million EUR! 🚆

The agreement was sealed right at the Presidential Palace in Tashkent in the presence of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, and the Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš. 🤝

What exactly are we bringing to Uzbekistan?

🚆 New generation trains: 10 regional electric units (1520 mm gauge) based on our highly successful Baltic platform.
✨ Top comfort: Exceptional reliability and sustainable operations for every passenger.
🔧 Joint venture and Škoda Academy: We are sharing our expertise and creating local service facilities so our partners can handle maintenance completely independently.

We introduced the new Škoda 49T tram to our Italian partners, including Gian Battista Scarfone, CEO of TEB Bergamo.

Guests and journalists had the chance to explore the vehicle and take part in test rides directly on our test track in the Škoda Group production area. 🚋

Over the past six months, our Škoda Smart Artic X54 trams on Helsinki's Line 15, operated by HSL, have been proving what true reliability looks like. 🇫🇮

Today, we officially introduced our next-generation battery-powered trolleybuses to the public. We’re delivering 40 of these modern vehicles (Škoda 33Tr and 32Tr) to the Estonian capital, and they are packed with smart tech to make urban travel better than ever!

What makes them such a game-changer? 🤔
🔋 Wire-free driving: They can travel up to 25 km completely off-grid without overhead wires, perfect for historical or busy city centres!
❄️ Ready for the Nordic winter: The long 18-metre models feature two driven axles, meaning snow and ice won't slow them down.
🙌 Pure comfort: 100% low-floor, fully air-conditioned, equipped with Wi-Fi, and super quiet.
