USE-IT Prague is now run by the NGO called "Jůzit, z.s." - but we are the same group of people who in 2010 decided Prague needs its USE-IT! INFOCENTRE is permanently closed and we moved our office to Prague creative centre at the Old Town square. For the bigger amount of Prague maps write us on [email protected] before coming! 2012: we opened USE-IT INFO CENTRE and issued 2nd edition of our map.
2013: USE-IT infocentre July-September, 3rd edition of Prague map.
2014: USE-IT infocentre June-September, 4th edition of Prague map.
2015: USE-IT Infocentre June-September, 5th edition of Prague map.
2016: USE-IT Infocentre June-September, 6th edition of Prague map.
2017: USE-IT Infocentre June-September, 7th edition of Prague map.
2018: USE-IT Infocentre opened one day a week, 8th edition of Prague map.
2019: USE-IT Infocentre opened one day a week, 9th edition of Prague map.

🎈NEW YEAR - NEW EDITION OF THE USE-IT MAP OF PRAGUE🎈

After more than 3 years, USE-IT Prague is baaaack! We just released our new edition, celebrating the launch on the 5.12.2025 at Skatuský Institut Na Staromáku (Skautský institut), with a lot of emotions, happy faces and prices after a long bingo full of suspense.

🚇The thematic of this year’s map? The celebration of the 150th year of Prague’s Public Transport! Yup, some of us in the team are transport nerds (or “šotouš” = find out in “Vocabulary” section of the map what it means!)

🌟What’s new? Brand new design and layout, sustainable, q***r and community tips, updated walks, 70(!) new spots, brand new categories… but you’ll still find the spirit of the amazing last edition of 2022 if you already loved it.

Enough talking, you’ll already have much to read about! Pick up our paper maps in our different distribution points:

Today at the USE-IT Annual Meeting we also dived into Improving Cartography 🗺️ — one of the key outcomes of the DIG-IT project.

DIG-IT is our 3-year Erasmus+ journey to take USE-IT from paper to digital: developing skills, tools, and platforms so our free maps made by locals shine online too. The project has brought mapmakers and experts together across Europe to test new ways of combining authentic content with smart digital features (think gamification, bucket lists, city mini-sites).

The session was led by Stanislav Popelka (Palacký University Olomouc) and Markéta Beitlová (Charles University, Prague) — who showed us how modern cartography methods can make our maps more accurate, more user-friendly, and more fun.A big thanks for pushing our mapping skills further! 🚀

📍Workshops and reviews of current map = done!

This Tuesday, we gathered at Skautský institut na Staromáku where we reviewed the final drafts, fixed tiny mistakes, gathered do's and dont's, and made sure our map shows the real Prague — inclusive, vibrant, and made by locals 💬

Yesterday’s meetup gave us space to reflect on what we’ve created so far, and to share some of the exciting innovations coming to our new map!

From fresh content to digital features, we’re proud of how far we’ve come — and even more excited for what’s next.
