A few small changes can make a big difference. 💚 That’s why we’re mindful of how we use energy in our spaces, looking for ways to be more efficient and reduce unnecessary consumption.

And you can do your bit, too! Whether you’re staying with us or at home, remember to switch off the lights when you leave a room, turn off electrical devices when you’re not using them, and make the most of natural light whenever possible. 💡

Less energy wasted means more resources to protect the places we love to explore. 🗺️ Let’s make every little action count!

Did you know Oktoberfest is the world’s largest b**r festival? 🍻

Born in Germany, it’s celebrated in cities across the country, including Berlin.

Visiting the German capital this month? Here are four spots where you can join the festivities! 👇

1. Hofbräu Wirtshaus Berlin: It’s one of the longest-running and most authentic restaurants at the festival. They serve the original Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier straight from Munich, and every Saturday afternoon they hold the traditional barrel-tapping ceremony (Fassanstich).
🕒From 19 September to 25 October.

2. Spandau Citadel: The Spandau Oktoberfest is held at the Spandau Citadel fairgrounds. It’s open every Friday and Saturday afternoon, featuring DJ sets and live bands.
🕒From 18 September to 24 October.

3. Fischerhütte am Schlachtensee: One of the most beautiful venues in west Berlin, situated on the shores of Lake Schlachtensee. They serve Augustiner b**r in traditional one-litre mugs (Maß).
🕒From 25 September to 17 October.

4. Berliner Herbstrummel: Located at the Zentraler Festplatz on Kurt-Schumacher-Damm, this is a huge family-friendly autumn fair with over 80 rides and food stalls.
🕒From 25 September to 25 October.

October is one of the best months to visit Lisbon but not everyone knows it. 🍁🇵🇹

Think mild, sunny days, fewer crowds and often better prices than in the peak summer months. Add golden autumn light, the smell of freshly roasted chestnuts and plenty of culture to explore, and you’ve got the perfect excuse for a city break.

If you’re thinking of visiting Lisbon this October, here are 7 things to do this autumn:

🏰 1. Explore São Jorge Castle
Enjoy a walk around the castle and take in those iconic views over Lisbon without the summer heat.

🌰 2. Grab some roasted chestnuts
Autumn means castanhas assadas! Pick up a warm paper cone from a street vendor and enjoy one of Lisbon’s cosiest seasonal traditions.

⛪ 3. Discover Jerónimos Monastery
Admire the intricate Manueline architecture of this UNESCO World Heritage Site in Belém.

🐠 4. Dive into the Lisbon Oceanarium
A great plan for a rainy day, with incredible marine life to discover at one of Europe’s largest indoor aquariums.

🖼️ 5. Visit MAAT
Explore contemporary art, architecture and technology by the river, and check out what’s on during the museum’s 10th anniversary year.

🧚 6. Take a day trip to Sintra
With misty hills, colourful palaces and fairytale-like gardens, autumn is a magical time to explore this enchanting town.

🎶 7. Get lost in Chiado
Wander through charming streets, admire the Carmo Convent ruins, browse independent shops or end the day with a live fado performance.

Save this list for your autumn getaway and make G*t Rossio your base for discovering the city. 🛎️

Tourism should leave a good mark. 🌍

On World Tourism Day, we’re celebrating a way of travelling that cares for the cities we’re part of, the people who live in them and the planet we all share.

That means choosing local suppliers, supporting the communities around our hotels, reducing waste and finding ways to use less energy.

It also means keeping things small, personal and local. Because we believe hotels can be part of a city without taking it over and that a more personal relationship with our guests makes for a better experience, too.

Because, of course, we care about you. 💚

Happy World Tourism Day!
