On July 25 the JAAS Festival returned to the Haselbacher See near Meuselwitz 🇩🇪, a former open pit mine that is now a lake with a beach, and for one Saturday a year a festival site. More than 20 artists played across four areas under the motto "Liebe, Freunde und Musik" (Love, Friends & Music), with the organisers deliberately capping the crowd at around 4,000 to keep the personal atmosphere the festival is known for.

German rental company 134 Hertz - Veranstaltungstechnik was back with Voice-Acoustic, this year covering the Black Floor and the Techno Autoscooter. The system: Ikarray-8, Paveosub-218, Paveosub-118sp, CXN-16, Modular-15, Score-8 and Score-5, powered by VADAS-12K4D and VADAS-8K4D amplifiers.

Thanks to the 134 Hertz team for another year of trust in Voice-Acoustic.

A stage over the river. The audience on the opposite bank.

At this year’s SchiltNacht in Schiltach, Germany – right in the heart of the Black Forest – a truly unique concert setting turned the river into part of the show.

MK-Veranstaltungsservice covered the unusual distance across the water with 2 × 3 Voice-Acoustic Ikarray-8 and 4 × Paveosub-218.

Thanks to Marco Kimmich and his team for the picture and for putting Voice-Acoustic to work in such a special location!

🇩🇪 PRESSEMITTEILUNG: 15 Jahre Modular-10

Behutsam weiterentwickelt statt ersetzt

🇬🇧 PRESS RELEASE: 15 Years of Modular-10
A Voice-Acoustic Classic Celebrates Its Anniversary

Voice-Acoustic's compact multipurpose loudspeaker has been in production for 15 years with an unchanged driver configuration and identical cabinet design. Sustainable, value retaining and reliable: an unusually long product life cycle in professional sound reinforcement. To mark the anniversary, we are saying thank you: effective immediately, every Modular-10 ordered comes with the matching protective cover at no charge.

Dörverden, August 2026: The Modular-10 has been part of the Voice-Acoustic product portfolio for 15 years. Introduced in 2011, the compact multipurpose loudspeaker is still produced in consistent quantities today, with an unchanged driver configuration and identical cabinet design. An exceptionally long product life cycle in an industry where product generations often change at much shorter intervals.

A concept ahead of its time
In the low frequency section, the Modular-10 uses a 10" Eighteen Sound driver with a high sensitivity of 100 dB. The high frequency section features a 1" B&C driver on a rotatable 90° x 40° horn.

A distinctive feature right from the market introduction was the pronounced trapezoidal cabinet with an angle of nearly 20° per side. Combined with the rotatable horn, several Modular-10 units can be arrayed horizontally side by side. Since the horizontal dispersion is matched to the cabinet angle, overlaps and the resulting interference are significantly reduced. For this concept, Voice-Acoustic founder Stefan Rast filed a utility model on 11 March 2011, which was approved and registered by the German Patent and Trade Mark Office on 1 June 2011 under number 20 2011 003 809.2.

Debut of the Easyfly rigging system
With the Modular-10, the Voice-Acoustic Easyfly rigging system, well known today, also made its debut in a series product in 2011. The design allows fast, tool-free mounting of the rigging hardware and was likewise registered with the patent office in 2011.

From its introduction, the Modular-10 thus combined several qualities that remain central to Voice-Acoustic product development to this day: high acoustic performance, flexible application options, and mechanical solutions developed consistently from the everyday practice of professional users.

The concept proved itself. The Modular-10 quickly established itself among sound rental companies, installers and mobile DJs as a compact and capable top cabinet and remains in use today in numerous mobile and permanently installed sound systems.

Carefully refined instead of replaced
Over 15 years, the concept has remained unchanged. Only details were adapted: the original textured paint gave way to a durable polyurea coating, the handles were reworked for comfortable one-handed carrying, and the connector panel received the current Voice-Acoustic look. Driver configuration, cabinet construction and the acoustic concept remained identical.

A long product life cycle as a sustainability principle
For Voice-Acoustic, this continuity is more than an anniversary. It reflects the company's commitment to developing products for long-term professional use rather than for short model cycles.

A loudspeaker system that can still be produced, expanded and combined with existing systems 15 years after its market introduction protects its users' investment. Rental companies and installation firms can keep using existing inventory for the long term and add current loudspeakers of the same model when needed, without having to switch to a new product generation.

Long product life cycles are therefore an essential part of Voice-Acoustic's understanding of sustainability. Rather than letting functioning products age artificially through regular model changes, the company relies on mature designs, long-term spare parts availability and system continuity.

That this approach also works commercially is shown not least by the continued demand for the Modular-10 and the strong resale value of used Voice-Acoustic systems.

Stefan Rast, founder and managing director of Voice-Acoustic: "We are proud that after 15 years we can still produce the Modular-10 with the same driver configuration and the same fundamental cabinet design. For us, a long product life cycle is a sign that a great deal was done right in the original development. At the same time, it gives our customers the confidence to invest in a system for the long term and to expand existing inventory in a meaningful way even after many years."

Two Score-8s paired with four Paveosub-121s, driven by VADAS amplifiers. Set up and ready for listening in Mexico City.

Our Mexican distribution partner, Hi Tech Audio México, has set up this demo system in its showroom in CDMX 🇲🇽. At first glance, this Voice-Acoustic configuration may seem an unusual combination, but that is precisely the point: the Score-8 delivers a warm, natural sound at high power, whilst the Paveosub-121 offers bass reserves that far exceed its footprint. It’s a combination well worth hearing for yourself – whether for weddings, corporate events or high-profile venues.

Demos can be booked directly with the Hi Tech Audio México team in Mexico City.

2x EtherCON for Dante, 4x AES3 and 4x analog inputs with patched outputs. One panel, no adapter chaos.

The VA CP-4IN signal connection panel in this BAGAX SDS Stack-Rack, as shown, also connects its analog XLR inputs in parallel with the network ports. This allows four audio channels to be routed to additional amplifier racks via a single CAT cable, rather than four XLR patch cables. The result is reduced cabling effort and quicker set-up, with fewer opportunities for errors during patching.
Below this is the VA CP-4OUT V4 Speakon connection panel with 4x NL4 and 1x NL8. Thanks to its modular design, the rack can be expanded as additional amplifier channels are added. Together with the Voice-Acoustic VADAS-8K4D amplifier, the rack complies with the Voice-Acoustic TR12 standard.

The amp rack belongs to Thilo Rahn Medientechnik (Germany 🇩🇪). The photo was taken at the Winterhuder Gospelnacht in Hamburg, where the team used their new Ikarray-8 system with Paveosub-118. Many thanks to Thilo Rahn for the photo.

***NEW PRODUCT ALERT***
Voice-Acoustic Convert-412PS: "Low-mids redefined"

The new Voice-Acoustic Convert-412PS is a fully horn-loaded, 3-way point source top, built with 4x 12" Dual-Gap LF drivers and a coaxial mid-high unit with a 4" ring-diaphragm compression mid-driver and a 2.5" ring-diaphragm compression tweeter.

The coaxial driver is mounted on a constant-directivity horn, which is available in three dispersion patterns: 70° x 50°, 90° x 50° and 110° x 50°. The Convert-412PS is bi-amped and requires two amplifier channels. A total of 6x Paveosub-121s in CSAE cardioid mode handle the low-frequency range at this event. A total of 2x VADAS-12K4D system amplifiers power the entire system, with one power amplifier per stack:
Channel 1 – LF Convert-412PS
Channel 2 – MF/HF Convert-412PS (with passive crossover)
Channel 3 – 1x Paveosub-121 at the rear
Channel 4 – 2x Paveosub-121 at the front

The magnetically attached front grille, which is secured with a safety cord, gives the Convert-412PS an unobtrusive and understated look for installations and protects the loudspeaker during standard hire and rock ’n’ roll gigs. Without the grille, however, the loudspeaker reveals a different visual character with eye-catching colour accents, making it particularly suited to EDM events or club installations.

For further information on the Convert-412PS, please contact us. The official launch will take place at LEaT con 26 in Hamburg 🇩🇪 and at the LLB Expo 2026 in Stockholm 🇸🇪, both from 6 to 8 October 2026. We look forward to seeing you there.

This year marked ten years of the Dragefjellet Minifestival in Bergen (Norway 🇳🇴) and Voice-Acoustic was right in the middle of it.

Dragefjellet is a hillside neighbourhood in the heart of Bergen, Norway’s second-largest city, located on the west coast of the country. Every August, it hosts a free street festival featuring live music across three stages, food stands, and activities for all the family, running from the early afternoon until evening.
For this special anniversary edition, our Norwegian distribution partner AMAS supplied a compact system that covered the packed square throughout the day: 2x VENIA-8 column line arrays and 2x Score-8 as outfill, supported by 4x Paveosub-118 and 2x Paveosub-218 subwoofers, plus 6x CXN-12 stage monitors. All powered by VADAS amplifiers.

Thank you to Morten Egil Paulsen and the Amas team for sharing this with us.

Over 500 visitors in a castle courtyard, with sound provided by 2x Voice-Acoustic Score-8

The Dorph, a trio from Oberwolfach (Black Forest, Germany 🇩🇪), play acoustic pop and rock, performed live with three-part harmonies and a range of instruments stretching from guitar and percussion to trumpet and harmonica. They recently filled the castle courtyard in Wolfach as part of the "Wednesdays at the Museum" concert series. It was the largest audience the series has ever attracted. Nobody had expected such a large crowd. The compact setup rose to the challenge with ease: it remained transparent and true to the original sound in the vocals, while at the same time delivering the necessary headroom for a packed courtyard.

EventKon Veranstaltungstechnik from Hausach provided 2x Score-8, 2x Paveosub-118 and 2x Paveosub-115, powered by HDSP amplifiers.

Many thanks to EventKON for their support and to The Dorph for a fantastic evening.

Afro House by the lake, with Schwerin Castle in the background.
Our Voice-Acoustic partner dealer eventdrop from Schwerin (Germany) handled the technical set-up for the AFROGADE event at Pier 7, one of the city’s most picturesque waterside locations. The system: 4x Paveosub-121s and 2x Modular-12P top boxes, plus 2x CXN-12s as DJ monitors, paired with a Pioneer DJ / AlphaTheta setup. Sound that reached the last row, right through to sunset.

Many thanks to the Eventdrop team for the photos and their excellent work.

White cabinets, chrome grilles. Not the standard look for a PA system.

Franz Josef Stingl has invested in a new Voice-Acoustic Score-6sp set consisting of two Score-6, one Paveosub-115sp-8K4 and one Paveosub-115. The Paveosub-115sp-8K4 powers the complete set with its internal amp module: four channels delivering 2.000 W each, 8.000 W in total. The custom finish in white with chrome grilles adds a touch of *bling* and shows what our special colour options can look like.

We wish Franz Josef Stingl a lot of fun with his new PA system and every success!
