Liebe Crazy Crawler Community,
Dear Crazy Crawler community,

wie ich ja schon vor paar Tagen angekündigt habe, wird Crazy Crawler in neue Hände übergehen. Heute möchten ich euch nun meinen Nachfolger vorstellen.

Es war mir besonders wichtig, jemanden zu finden, der nicht nur die Marke weiterführt, sondern sie auch wirklich lebt – mit Erfahrung, Leidenschaft und dem richtigen Blick für die Szene.

Mit Bastian Dammers habe ich genau diese Person gefunden.

Bastian bringt nicht nur viel Erfahrung im Modellbau mit, sondern er hat die Szene seit vielen Jahren aktiv mitprägt – vom Truck Trial über die Cologne Trail Company (CTC) bis hin zur Mitwirkung an der Sherpa Trophy. Auch mit Trailkit RC steht er für praxisnahe, durchdachte Produkte.

Nach intensiven Gesprächen war schnell klar: Die Chemie stimmt und die Vorstellungen zur Zukunft von Crazy Crawler passen perfekt zusammen.

Ich freuen mich sehr, die Marke in seine Hände zu übergeben.

Für euch bleibt alles beim Alten – und gleichzeitig dürft ihr euch auf frische Ideen und Weiterentwicklungen freuen.

Damit bedanke ich mich bei euch für die jahrelange Unterstützung, das Vertrauen und die Treue zu Crazy Crawler. Meine "Passion", Produkte zu entwickeln, die euch im RC Crawler und Scaler Hobby viel Freude bereiten, wird Bastian fortführen. Ich wünsche ihm einen guten Start.

Dear Crazy Crawler community,

As I announced a few days ago, Crazy Crawler will be passing into new hands. Today I would like to introduce you to my successor.

It was especially important to me to find someone who not only continues the brand, but truly lives it — with experience, passion, and the right understanding of the scene.

With Bastian Dammers, I have found exactly that person.

Bastian not only brings a lot of experience in model building, but he has actively shaped the scene for many years — from Truck Trial and the Cologne Trail Company (CTC) to his involvement in the Sherpa Trophy. With Trailkit RC as well, he stands for practical, well-thought-out products.

After intensive discussions, it quickly became clear: the chemistry is right, and our visions for the future of Crazy Crawler align perfectly.

I am very happy to hand the brand over into his care.

For you, everything will remain the same — and at the same time, you can look forward to fresh ideas and further developments.

With that, I would like to thank you for your years of support, trust, and loyalty to Crazy Crawler. My “passion” for developing products that bring you a lot of enjoyment in the RC crawler and scaler hobby will be continued by Bastian. I wish him a great start.

Update / "Breaking News": Crazy Crawler .. wird weitergeführt .. will continue

Es gibt eine sehr gute Nachricht: Crazy Crawler wird weitergeführt.

Zunächst sage ich Danke für die vielen freundschaftlichen Kommentare und das breite Verständnis. Viele haben mich sehr bewegt und ich habe natürlich auch mit viel Demut und Freude gelesen, wie sehr die Marke und Reifeneinlagen euch allen ans Herz gewachsen sind. Deshalb freut es mich besonders, diese Neuigkeit zu verkünden.

Nach dem Aufruf in meinem letzten Post haben sich mehrere Interessenten gemeldet. Als erfreuliche Ergebnis nach einer gesprächsintensiven Woche kann ich nun vermelden, dass ich einen Nachfolger für Crazy Crawler gefunden habe, der mit viel Crawler Know-how, Zeit und Motivation Crazy Crawler übernehmen wird.

Bis zur offiziellen Staffelübergabe ist noch einiges zu erledigen, aber folgendes steht fest:
- Der Verkauf bei Händlern und im Online-Shop wird ohne Einschränkungen weitergeführt.
- Deshalb natürlich auch KEIN Abverkauf.
- Aktuell fehlende Bestände werden schnellstens ausgefüllt.
- Alles Zusagen an Sponsoren bleiben bestehen.
- Die Crazy Crawler DNA lebt weiter!

Update / "Breaking News": Crazy Crawler will continue

There's some very good news: Crazy Crawler will continue.

First of all, thank you for the many friendly comments and the widespread understanding. Many of them touched me deeply, and I was, of course, humbled and delighted to read how much the brand and tire inserts have meant to you all. Therefore, I am especially pleased to announce this news.

Following the call for participants in my last post, several interested parties contacted me. As a positive outcome after a week of intensive discussions, I can now announce that I have found a successor for Crazy Crawler who will take over the business with extensive crawler expertise, time, and motivation.

There is still some work to be done before the official handover, but the following is certain:
- Sales at dealers and in the online shop will continue without restrictions.
- Therefore, there will be NO clearance sale.
- Any currently missing stock will be replenished as quickly as possible.
- All sponsorship commitments remain in place.
- The Crazy Crawler DNA lives on!

"Nichts ist so beständig wie der Wandel"

Die letzten 30 Jahre war mein beruflicher Mittelpunkt Kommunikation, Werbung und Internet. Eine sehr interessante, aber auch arbeitsintensive Zeit, in der ich bis auf TV- und Radio-Spots in allen Bereichen für meine Kunden tätig sein durfte. Dabei ist so ganz nebenbei vor 11 Jahren aus dem Hobby heraus Crazy Crawler entstanden. Zuerst als kleiner Crawler-Shop, doch schon ein Jahr später mit der Erfindung der LaserFoams lag der gesamte Fokus auf meinen gezackten Reifeneinlagen für RC-Crawler und eine auch für mich beeindruckende Erfolgsgeschichte begann.

Vor drei Jahren habe ich mich dazu entschlossen, noch einmal etwas ganz Neues anzugreifen und den Beruf des Lokführers eingeschlagen. Nach einem sehr lernintensiven Jahr war ich ausgebildeter Cargo-Lokführer und ich muss sagen, dass ich dort „meinen neuen Beruf“ gefunden habe.

Die letzten Monate haben gezeigt, dass "Zug fahren" und "Crazy Crawler" eine extreme Doppelbelastung ist und mich diese einfach zu viel Zeit und Lebensqualität kostet. Wer mich näher kennt, weiß, mit welcher Leidenschaft und Professionalität ich Crazy Crawler "gelebt" habe. Diesen Anspruch mir gegenüber und auch das damit verbundene hohe Service-Niveau kann ich meinen Händlern und Kunden gegenüber nicht mehr aufrechterhalten.

Aus diesem Grund werde ich "schweren Herzens" das Kapitel "Crazy Crawler" beenden und die Tore schließen.

Ich bedanke mich bei allen Kunden für das Vertrauen und die Treue über die vielen Jahre.
Es war mir eine außerordentliche Ehre und Freude mit meinen Produkten euer Hobby zu bereichern.

"Nothing is as constant as change."

For the past 30 years, my professional focus has been on communication, advertising, and the internet. It's been a very interesting, but also very busy time, during which I was able to work for my clients in all areas except for TV and radio commercials. Quite by chance, Crazy Crawler was born out of my hobby 11 years ago. Initially a small crawler shop, just a year later, with the invention of LaserFoams, my entire focus shifted to my serrated tire inserts for RC crawlers, and an impressive success story began.

Three years ago, I decided to embark on something completely new and became a train driver. After a very intensive year of learning, I was a qualified cargo train driver, and I have to say that I've found "my new calling."

The last few months have shown that "driving trains" and "running Crazy Crawler" is an extreme double burden, and it's simply costing me too much time and quality of life. Anyone who knows me well knows the passion and professionalism with which I've approached Crazy Crawler. I can no longer maintain this level of commitment to myself and the associated high level of service for my dealers and customers.

For this reason, it is with a "heavy heart" that I will be closing the "Crazy Crawler" chapter and shutting down.

I would like to thank all my customers for their trust and loyalty over the many years.
It has been an extraordinary honor and pleasure to enrich your hobby with my products.

Now that the comp series is has come to an end I’d like to give a huge thank you to all of the amazing companies that have sponsored our winter comp series. Many of them have been with us since our very first event and many of them join us this year but we would like to give each and everyone of you a huge thank you for supporting us and the series!
Next I’d like to thank Chase Hanlock and Rob Martin for helping us do all of the scores. With out you guys we would probably still be adding them up.
