Our two Highland cows have recently welcomed their newest team members: two adorable calves.

Their responsibilities?
🌱 Keeping the grass under control
👀 Monitoring everything happening around the production site
☀️ Enjoying the outdoors
🐄 And, apparently, growing the team

No meetings. No emails. No deadlines. 😎
Just plenty of fresh air, good food and a very important job: looking cute while keeping an eye on things. 😉

The adaptation period after arrival can be a challenging time for young beef cattle – especially during the winter months.

In a 60-day trial, 30 Aubrac crossbreed steers were divided into two groups: a control group and a Sangrovit® group. A particular focus was placed on the period around a booster vaccination on day 17.

Key results with Sangrovit®:
• More consistent feed intake, particularly around vaccination
• Significantly better growth
• Fewer health issues (particularly bovine respiratory disease)
• Fewer medical treatments
• Reduced intestinal inflammation, as indicated by lower f***l calprotectin levels

What does this mean in practice?
Maintaining stable feed intake and supporting the animals during challenging adaptation periods can make an important difference. The results of this trial highlight the potential of Sangrovit® to support calf performance and resilience during this critical phase.

Not every day in sales means getting your boots dirty... but that's exactly what happened to our Sales Area Manager DACH, Dr. Anton Vorndran, at the Milk Practice Cattle Camp 2026 in Triesdorf, Bavaria.

Instead of just talking about dairy farming, Anton got directly involved, working hands-on with cattle and experiencing everyday farm practice firsthand.

Events like these are a great reminder of how important it is to stay connected to the realities of modern dairy production and to exchange ideas with farmers, vets, consultants, and industry colleagues.

In 2023, we conducted a study at the University of Milan to investigate whether a combination of glycosylated active vitamin D₃ and the natural triterpenes ursolic acid and oleanolic acid could support sows during one of the most demanding phases of the production cycle: late gestation through lactation.

The study focused on three key areas:
🔬 productive performance
🧬 immune and inflammatory responses
🦴 calcium and mineral homeostasis
24 third-parity sows were divided into three groups and monitored from late gestation through the end of lactation.

And the results were interesting:
🐷 Shorter farrowing duration in both supplemented groups.
📈 Improved litter weights at birth, after cross-fostering and at weaning.
🧬 Lower levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including TNF-α, IL-1α and IL-1β.
🦴 Higher circulating calcium levels together with lower parathormone concentrations during lactation.

The first weeks of a calf’s life are a critical window: the immune system is still developing, while the gut faces major nutritional and pathogenic challenges.
That’s where intestinal resilience matters.

Our Polish team is currently welcoming customers to our production site in Neuendettelsau, Germany.

The visit combines technical insights with plenty of opportunities for exchange: our guests have already enjoyed a guided tour of the production facilities, joined a product presentation and gained insights into our laboratory and quality processes.

But a visit to Bavaria wouldn’t be complete without experiencing a little local culture. 😉
Tomorrow, the group will head to the Karpfhamer Fest and visit the Rottalschau, combining agricultural expertise, regional traditions and a taste of Bavarian life.

In modern pig production, success isn't measured by weight gain alone. Feed efficiency, lean meat yield and carcass quality all determine the profitability of every animal.
