While our colleagues at Phytobiotics are busy with research, production and innovation, thereโ€™s another team working quietly right next door.
Our two Highland cows have recently welcomed their newest team members: two adorable calves.

Their responsibilities?
๐ŸŒฑ Keeping the grass under control
๐Ÿ‘€ Monitoring everything happening around the production site
โ˜€๏ธ Enjoying the outdoors
๐Ÿ„ And, apparently, growing the team

No meetings. No emails. No deadlines. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
Just plenty of fresh air, good food and a very important job: looking cute while keeping an eye on things. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Weโ€™re pretty sure theyโ€™re already among our most popular colleagues.

The adaptation period after arrival can be a challenging time for young beef cattle โ€“ especially during the winter months.

In a 60-day trial, 30 Aubrac crossbreed steers were divided into two groups: a control group and a Sangrovitยฎ group. A particular focus was placed on the period around a booster vaccination on day 17.

Key results with Sangrovitยฎ:
โ€ข More consistent feed intake, particularly around vaccination
โ€ข Significantly better growth
โ€ข Fewer health issues (particularly bovine respiratory disease)
โ€ข Fewer medical treatments
โ€ข Reduced intestinal inflammation, as indicated by lower f***l calprotectin levels

What does this mean in practice?
Maintaining stable feed intake and supporting the animals during challenging adaptation periods can make an important difference. The results of this trial highlight the potential of Sangrovitยฎ to support calf performance and resilience during this critical phase.

Not every day in sales means getting your boots dirty... but that's exactly what happened to our Sales Area Manager DACH, Dr. Anton Vorndran, at the Milk Practice Cattle Camp 2026 in Triesdorf, Bavaria.

Instead of just talking about dairy farming, Anton got directly involved, working hands-on with cattle and experiencing everyday farm practice firsthand.

Events like these are a great reminder of how important it is to stay connected to the realities of modern dairy production and to exchange ideas with farmers, vets, consultants, and industry colleagues.
Thanks to everyone involved for the great discussions, practical insights, and plenty of new ideas to take home!

In 2023, we conducted a study at the University of Milan to investigate whether a combination of glycosylated active vitamin Dโ‚ƒ and the natural triterpenes ursolic acid and oleanolic acid could support sows during one of the most demanding phases of the production cycle: late gestation through lactation.

The study focused on three key areas:
๐Ÿ”ฌ productive performance
๐Ÿงฌ immune and inflammatory responses
๐Ÿฆด calcium and mineral homeostasis
24 third-parity sows were divided into three groups and monitored from late gestation through the end of lactation.

And the results were interesting:
๐Ÿท Shorter farrowing duration in both supplemented groups.
๐Ÿ“ˆ Improved litter weights at birth, after cross-fostering and at weaning.
๐Ÿงฌ Lower levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including TNF-ฮฑ, IL-1ฮฑ and IL-1ฮฒ.
๐Ÿฆด Higher circulating calcium levels together with lower parathormone concentrations during lactation.

The first weeks of a calfโ€™s life are a critical window: the immune system is still developing, while the gut faces major nutritional and pathogenic challenges.
Thatโ€™s where intestinal resilience matters.

Research and commercial farm trials show that Sangrovitยฎ can support calves during this vulnerable period by helping maintain gut function and supporting the animalโ€™s response to enteric challenges.

Across the studies:
โ€ข 15.4% lower diarrhea incidence under a Cryptosporidium parvum challenge
โ€ข 5.2 days shorter diarrhea duration in the same study
โ€ข +28 g/day average daily gain in a commercial farm trial
โ€ข 5.5% less medication use in calves receiving Sangrovitยฎ alongside an existing gut-health strategy

The goal isnโ€™t to replace good calf management. Itโ€™s to strengthen the foundation: healthy gut function, better resilience and a stronger start into life.

Our Polish team is currently welcoming customers to our production site in Neuendettelsau, Germany.

The visit combines technical insights with plenty of opportunities for exchange: our guests have already enjoyed a guided tour of the production facilities, joined a product presentation and gained insights into our laboratory and quality processes.

But a visit to Bavaria wouldnโ€™t be complete without experiencing a little local culture. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Tomorrow, the group will head to the Karpfhamer Fest and visit the Rottalschau, combining agricultural expertise, regional traditions and a taste of Bavarian life.

A great opportunity to strengthen relationships, share knowledge and connect beyond the day-to-day business.

Good conversations, valuable insights and a little Bavarian spirit along the way.

In modern pig production, success isn't measured by weight gain alone. Feed efficiency, lean meat yield and carcass quality all determine the profitability of every animal.
That's why nutritional strategies should support performance from weaning through to finishing.

A commercial study with 532 pigs evaluated Sangrovitยฎ 3rd Generation across the entire production cycle.

The results showed:
๐Ÿ‘‰ +11.4% average daily gain
๐Ÿ‘‰ +6.7% feed intake supporting growth potential
๐Ÿ‘‰ 4,2% lower feed conversion ratio
๐Ÿ‘‰ Higher final body weight (+ 11,4%) and carcass weight
๐Ÿ‘‰ Reduced backfat thickness
โœ” Higher lean meat percentage

These findings demonstrate how optimizing nutrient utilization can translate into improved growth performance and enhanced carcass value.
Because the goal isn't simply to produce heavier pigsโ€”
it's to produce more valuable pigs.

Even optimized feed cannot ensure performance if Vitamin Dโ‚ƒ availability is limited.
It supports mineral metabolism and immune response.

High pathogen pressure and molting stress can lead to:
โ€ข reduced feed efficiency
โ€ข weakened immunity

From farrowing and weaning to regrouping, transport and heat stress, pigs face continuous challenges that affect far more than their behavior.
Stress can compromise gut integrity, impair performance and increase the risk of intestinal disorders such as post-weaning diarrhea. It may also contribute to increased pathogen shedding, making stress management a key component of modern pig production.

This is where nutritional support becomes part of the solution.
Multiple university studies have shown that Sangrovitยฎ can help support the animal's natural stress response by reducing cortisol levels and promoting greater physiological resilience.

Throughout the production cycle, Sangrovitยฎ supports:
โœ” A balanced stress response
โœ” Gut health during critical phases
โœ” Consistent growth and productivity
โœ” Reduced impact of stress-related challenges
โœ” Strategies to help decrease pathogen shedding

Because resilient pigs perform better.
