💚 I Am a Lyme Disease Warrior 💚⬇️
Throwback to my original posts from 2017, documenting Day 4 of my time at a rehabilitation clinic in Germany, where I gave myself the best possible chance of fighting Lyme Disease.
I originally broke up day 4 into two posts - this is the second post for day 4.
If you've only just found my page, here's a little background about who I am and what this page is all about.
I've decided to openly share my fight with Lyme disease, I started during Lyme Disease Awareness Month - May. 💚
I was hoping to have completed uploading my Lyme journey in May but that did not happen. However I am still posting my journey, post by post.
For those who have been reading my long posts already, thankyou for all the support! 💚✨️
I also live with multiple other health conditions, which I will be speaking openly about as well. 💜✨
For a long time, I kept much of my health journey private. Now, I'm ready to share my story with the world. 🌏🌍🌎
If you'd like more insight into why I travelled to Germany for treatment, feel free to read my previous posts.
I will say that overall, my posts will make more sense if read in order, as they were written to flow together as part of my experience.
🚨⚠️ Disclaimer: My treatment took place in 2017, so I cannot guarantee that the same treatment plan is still available at this clinic today. However, if you're interested in learning about what I did, these posts will provide a snapshot of the treatment that worked very well for me. 🚨⚠️
Feel free to ask me any questions in the comments below. ⬇️
My original post below is raw and unedited. You'll notice spelling and grammar mistakes that reflect the condition of my mind, health, and eyesight at the time.
At the time I wrote these posts, I considered leaving Australia as Day One of my journey. However, I have now changed that and consider Day One to be the day I saw the Lyme specialist at Vital Kliniken in Bad Driburg, Germany.
My original posts reflect leaving Australia as Day 1 and decided to leave it like that to keep it authentic.

16th June 2017 (however written and uploaded on the 19th June 2017
Its still day 10 of my lyme journey and I am just updating the second half of day 8 (friday)
I did try write it as one post but would have been way too long...
I was in such awe of reading a very special book close to my heart from last night and early morning. That I attempted to read with out my special glasses, it was really difficult and had to keep closing my eyes to rest them before i could complete a sentence at times... however as slow as what i was and with the struggle i was feeling trying to read, my heart was at peace reading just a small amount compared to what i did with the special glasses 😎💖
After lunch it was time for me to hit the gym lol.....i wish... but close enough. They decided since ive had a hydrojet massage and hyperthermia treatment, they wanted to see how i would go on a proper gym excercise bike...
I went weak at the knees when I realised what they wanted me to. Lucky for me the instructor could speak english and she reassured me that i only have to pedal at a slow rate, between 60 -70 and for only 12 mins.
The Lord gave me strenth because I did it!!!! I actually did it.
To most that is probably nothing but to me...its something to celebrate about it. I've had days where walking from my bed to the bathroom or famiky room etc was a challenge.
The bike i was using was right next to a window that overlooked a beatiful park.. i was pretending i was riding around in the park 😊
My heart did not give me any problems either an extra bonus!!! It still does walking up a flight of stairs but the fight is still in early days!
In the afternoon, i spoke to mum and my grandfather, was happy to hear his voice.
I also dedicated the rest of my free time reading the same precious book in the afternoon and evening. With the same struggles i mentioned above but totally worth it. 😊💖
