🏓🤝 COSCO SHIPPING Lines Spain takes part in the 6th Diario del Puerto Padel Tournament

The event in Valencia has become a key meeting point for companies across the logistics and port community.

💚 How can cleaner fuels help shipping move towards a lower-carbon future?
One answer is methanol.

COSCO SHIPPING Yangpu, China's first domestically built 16,000 TEU-class methanol dual-fuel container ship, achieved a methanol substitution rate of more than 95%, demonstrating how alternative fuels can be successfully integrated into day-to-day shipping operations.

In 2025, the vessel consumed 2,156.64 tonnes of methanol, providing valuable operational experience and supporting the industry's transition towards lower-emission maritime transport, !

🏆⚓ A decade of transformation at the Port of Piraeus

At the 9th Infrastructure and Transport Conference (ITC 2026), Piraeus Port Authority - OLP received a Special Award marking 10 years since COSCO SHIPPING's investment in PPA.

The award was accepted by PPA CEO SU Xudong and recognises a decade of development, growth and transformation at the Port of Piraeus.

Over the past ten years, the port has strengthened its role as a major gateway for international trade, enhancing connectivity and supporting economic activity both in Greece and across the wider region.

⚓ The distinction highlights an important milestone in the Port of Piraeus' ongoing journey and the achievements made possible through long-term investment, collaboration and a shared vision for the future.

💚 Can meaningful progress in logistics start when the engines stop?
In 2025, vessels, shipyards and terminals across the COSCO SHIPPING network used approximately 67.2 million kWh of shore power, helping avoid around 1,850 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

By connecting to shoreside electricity rather than relying solely on onboard power generation, ships can reduce emissions while at berth and contribute to cleaner, more efficient port operations.
