Wishing everyone a Happy Easter from the Arctic! 🐇

Not only are Arctic hares incredibly cute (and fluffy), but they’re also perfectly adapted to life in some of the harshest environments on Earth. With thick seasonal fur, powerful hind legs, and the ability to move quickly across the tundra, they thrive where few others can. Did you know they can reach speeds of up to 60 km/h when escaping predators?

They are a sight we’re always happy to come across on our voyages. Most commonly spotted during our spring expeditions in Greenland and northern Canada, they feel especially fitting this time of year 🐣🍫

Yes, this is Antarctica.🌋 Deception Island is one of the most unexpected landscapes you can find in Antarctica, and one of our favorite landing sites.

Located in the South Shetland Islands, it is a flooded volcanic caldera that was formed by an active volcano. Instead of snow and ice, you’ll find black sand beaches, ash-covered slopes, and even a steaming shoreline. On our voyages, guests can explore this unique terrain, spot chinstrap penguins along the shore, and occasionally see seals resting nearby, all while stepping into history at the remains of an abandoned whaling station.

It’s of those places you have to see to believe, and it truly never stops amazing us ✨

🌍 All routes now lead to - head over there, give us a follow, and come explore with us!

Today is 🦭

There are over 30 species worldwide, ranging from the smallest fur seals to the largest elephant seals, many of which can dive hundreds of meters deep and remain underwater for long periods of time. Not only are they chatty, using a mix of calls, grunts, and clicks to communicate above and below the water, but they’re also curious, playful, and essential to ocean ecosystems 🌊

On our voyages, we often spot them lounging on ice, diving beneath the waves, and even interacting with each other on the shore.

Today, we celebrate seals while raising awareness of the importance of protecting their fragile habitats 💙

One of the highlights of our voyages is being lucky enough to see glaciers up close. These massive rivers of slowly moving ice create some of the most incredible landscapes on Earth ❄️

But glaciers are melting faster than ever. Climate change is reshaping these icy environments, and urgent action is needed to protect them, with up to one-third of glacier sites at risk of disappearing by 2050.

Today, on World Day for Glaciers, we’d like to raise awareness of how quickly glaciers are changing and highlight the importance of preserving them for generations to come. So we can continue to live these unforgettable experiences while protecting the landscapes that make them possible ✨

We have just returned from an incredible voyage all the way south of the Antarctic Circle 🇦🇶

We had the chance to visit fantastic landing sites like Red Rock Ridge, Horseshoe Island & Stonington Island, where we were greeted by moulting Adélie penguins 🐧

Our guests had the opportunity to kayak among towering icebergs, where seals were resting in the sun and penguins were diving into the sea. A definite highlight was the sunset cruise through the Lemaire Channel, combined with a delicious barbecue on the outer decks while watching whales surrounding the ship ✨
