What’s happening at John Mast? ⚓️
It’s been a busy week in the workshop – and a good example of how different the jobs at John Mast can be.
From new masts and service to repairs, custom-made solutions and product development, there is always something different going through the workshop.
🔧 Mast inspections and quality control for X-Yachts
🇭🇰 Packing and preparing four Dragon masts for shipment to Hong Kong
⚙️ Repair and service of a furling forestay system
🛠️ Recreating a complete masthead for an older mast, where spare parts are no longer available. Instead of telling the customer that the part could not be sourced, we reproduced the original masthead and got the rig back in service.
📐 Deflection testing and documentation of our Dragon mast section
💡 And behind the scenes: continuous R&D, design work and 3D printing of new components and prototypes
Some jobs are new production. Some are repairs. And sometimes the solution simply doesn’t exist anymore – so we have to make it ourselves.
That combination of experience, craftsmanship and development is a big part of what we do at John Mast.
