🎉 We've reached another exciting milestone!

Our fleet just got even bigger with the recent arrival of ES-MBJ✈️ Marabu fleet has now grown to twelve Airbus A320neo aircraft!

Every new aircraft represents another step forward for our airline and is a testament to the hard work, planning and commitment of so many people across the business.

As we continue expanding and growing, it also allows us to offer everyone even more travel options to popular leisure destinations to the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands and beyond. 🌴☀️

This summer season has been our busiest yet, and we’re delighted to help more of our passengers have even more moments by the sea. 🏖️

✈️This is how you finish your career!

Last week marked an end to a legendary career – our Captain Harald Koop made his last two landings as a commercial pilot, bringing an aviation journey spanning over 30 years to a close!

To mark this incredible occasion – as Harald is also Marabu Airlines’ very first pilot to retire – our colleagues helped to prepare a proper celebration after his final touchdown in Düsseldorf. He was met with “Follow me” cars, a water salute, and fellow pilots and cabin crews greeted him on the jet bridge as he stepped off an aircraft for one final time as a Captain.

Reflecting on his career, Harald said: "I've never felt like I had to work a day in my life because I loved what I did."

Thank you, Captain Koop, for your professionalism, dedication and for taking care of hundreds of thousands of passengers throughout your aviation career.

Travel smarter: timing at the airport ✈️

A smooth journey often starts before you even board the aircraft. With a bit of planning, you can reduce stress and make your airport experience more comfortable.

Here are a few simple tips to keep in mind 👇

Arrival time
We recommend arriving at the airport around 2 hours before departure. During peak travel periods, it’s worth allowing extra time to stay on the safe side.

Check-in & luggage
If you’re traveling with hand luggage only, you can go straight to security.
With checked baggage, plan additional time for bag drop queues.
Online check-in can help speed things up.

Security checks
Waiting times can vary depending on the time of day.
At many airports in Germany, you can book a security time slot in advance, helping you plan your arrival more precisely.

Boarding time
Boarding starts well before departure.
We recommend being at the gate 30–40 minutes before your flight, as gates close ahead of take-off.
