«Emarat Misr» Petroleum Products Company was established to achieve international cooperation agreement between «Arab Republic of Egypt» & «United Arab Emirates» for the sake of attaining collaborating and integrating both economies and opening new horizons in the egyptian petroleum products field by providing service and filling stations designed according to the latest technology so as to deliver the highest value to Egyptian motorists through providing quality products & services in addition to convenient stores and high reputed international fast food restaurants. Following the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed in 2001; Emarat signed a joint venture agreement with Egyptian Company Middle East Oil Tankage and Pipelines MIDTAP, & Middle East Oil Refinery MIDOR to establish Emarat Misr a company that will set up a network of service station across Egypt. Petroleum retailer to set up a full fledged service station network outside the U.A.E. Authorized capital was determine to be EGP 500 M, while paid in capital is EGP 100 M. Emirates General Petroleum Corporation «Emarat» contributed with a share of 50% , Middle East Oil Tankage & Pipe Lines «Midtap» with 48%, and Middle East Oil Refinery «Midor» with a share of 2%
