The mistake most first-time visitors make at the Giza Pyramids:

They buy only the general entry ticket — and leave without going inside.

General entry (Plateau + Sphinx) is 700 EGP, about $15. That covers the outside views and the Sphinx. It is genuinely spectacular.

But the Great Pyramid interior? That is a separate ticket. 1,500 EGP — around $31. Access is limited daily, and the queue builds fast.

If you are flying from the US to Egypt, the extra $31 is not the moment to economise.
