Red Sea Sails Red Sea Sails is bringing sailing to the Red Sea. The first and only international IYT partner sailing school in the area.

A sailing yacht charter company & A Hanse Yachts partner charter company. A long time ago, sailboats shaped the history of the Red Sea. Today, replaced by motor vessels, sailboats are almost non-existent. Red Sea Sails recognizes the potentials of the ideal sailing conditions and the ecological benefits sailing will have on the Red Sea. Red Sea Sails finds the Red Sea constant wind, all year-round

temperate weather, rich marine life, magical desert coastline and nearby Egypt’s world-class archeological sites allow for an unforgettable sailing experience. It is a privilege to sail in the Red Sea. As an internationally recognized IYT partner school, you can learn to sail your own boat anywhere around the globe on the beautiful waters of the Red Sea.

Somabay Festival 2026 - The Milestone

Events like this are built on belief. Belief in the vision, in the community, and in what sailing on the Red Sea can be.

Excited to see Egypt’s young dinghy sailors competing with passion, discipline, and determination at the Somabay Sailing Festival, in collaboration with the Egyptian Sailing & Water Ski Federation.

The youth sailors are arriving from Alexandria, Ismailia, Cairo and all the way from Aswan to participate in this first if its kind event combining all the classes in the picturesque bay hosted by the Somabay exceptional destination.

Excitement levels are peaking among the sailing community's athletes from its youngest to its most experienced.

From 14-16 May, we bring together sailors, crews, windsurfers, dinghy athletes, and spectators from across Egypt and beyond. Hosted by Somabay, the first edition of the Somabay Sailing Festival. ⛵️

For some, it’s the sight of sails filling the marina, spectator boats out on the water, sunset gatherings, and evenings by the Red Sea.

For sailors, it’s early weather checks, skippers briefings, docking manoeuvres, fleet departures, and long days at sea alongside some of the region’s most exciting boats and crews.
