We are Katya and Mirko — two nomads who first crossed paths in 1998 in Israel and have been traveling together since the winter of 2000. We have been exploring our beautiful planet on bicycles since 2002. Our journey began on a small island called Koh Tao in Thailand. For the next six years, we wandered across Asia, moving between Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, China, Mongolia, South Korea,
Japan, and Taiwan. In 2007, we returned home to Europe to visit family and friends. In the summer of 2008, we began our journey back to Asia. Starting from Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. We cycled across Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, the Sinai Peninsula (Egypt), and Israel. In the spring of 2009, we left Israel and returned once more to Sinai, Jordan, and Syria. From there, we entered the Kurdish region of Turkey and continued through Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, Laos, and finally back to Thailand, which we reached in 2010. Since then, we have been moving between Thailand and China, also exploring Vietnam and Cambodia along the way. And finally in 2014, we were able to make a very magical journey from Thailand through Myanmar to Northeast India. The next few years we were exploring Indian Himalayas, Karakoram mountains in Pakistan and part of Himalayas in Nepal. Since 2022, we have been exploring Europe once again. We cycled from Czech republic to Portugal, Spain and slowly to Morocco and loved every part of it. At the moment, we are back in Spain… and then, we shall see where the wind will blow us next. In order to support ourselves, we make hand-made jewelry from all natural materials which we gather and sell while we are on the road. Our creations are always unique — inspired by the places we visit and the natural world around us.
